Depth-Based Creeper Griefing
I always disliked how the vanilla options for managing Creepers was either on or off, especially in multiplayer. And /gamerule mobGriefing
is excessively heavy-handed for my tastes. Initially, I was inspired by a datapack that made creepers only do block damage below sea level, but support was dropped due to lack of interest. I ran with this idea - what if Creeper danger was based on y-level?
Features
- Creepers at or above sea level only do mob damage, and do not damage blocks (Keeps typical player chests and builds safe)
- Creepers in the Deepslate layer have increased potency and inflict Mining Fatigue on explosion, hampering your escape. This should help them be more dangerous "support enemies"

dragon3025 - Created the initial datapack, I am simply riffing on it with his permission.
