Dyed Books

This datapack adds recipes to dye the covers of books different colours, just like leather armor. It works on books, book and quills, and written books. Multiple dyes can be used at the same time or in sequence, allowing for over 5 million different colours! The colour can be removed with water, either by using a cauldron in 26.1+, or by crafting with a water bucket in versions 1.21.5 to 1.21.11. Additionally, there are recipes for removing or adding the enchantment glint to written books, using regular ink sacs and glow ink sacs respectively.

Important: The corresponding resource pack is required to see the books change colour (though the enchantment glint changes will still be visible).
