Ever thought some of the vanilla equipment was to overpowered for your needs? Well you might be able to remove it with this datapack!
Features
- A settings menu to toggle the items
- A command everyone can use to see what equipment is toggled
Everything that is toggleable:
- Netherite Armor
- Netherite Tools
- Netherite Sword
- Netherite Axe
- Ender Pearl
- Totem of Undying
- Mace
- TNT Minecarts
- Elytra
How to use
- To open the settings menu, enter /function equipment:.settings and click the buttons in the chat
- To see what is equipment is toggled, enter /trigger Equipment
How does it work?
It works differently for every item since what's needed to remove when toggled off isn't the same for every item.
- The netherite equipment all works the same. When toggled off, the equipment turns into a diamond piece of equipment and will remember that it was netherite so if it's ever toggled back on, it will turn back into netherite. Be aware that this datapack will not prevent anyone from trying to upgrade their diamond equipment. So if it's toggled off, and somebody tries to upgrade their equipment, it will turn back to diamond and won't give back the ressources. (Note: When switching from a material to the other, the piece of equipment will keep its enchantments and other components)
- The Ender Pearl works with a scoreboard that detects when you throw a pearl and if it gets triggerd and pearls are toggled off, the pearl is killed and put back in your inventory.
- The Totem of Undying works by removing it's "Death Protection" component when it's toggled off.
- The Mace works by changing it to another item, because the mace's smash attack is hard-coded into the item. When switching, it keeps all its enchantments and all its components.
- TNT Minecarts work by killing and dropping them when toggled off. (No they don't have time to be shot by a flame arrow)
- The Elytra works by removing it's "Glider" component when it's toggled off.
Note
Likely wont work in versions before 1.21.2
