Build your iron reserves without wrangling villagers.
Hopper Golem is a datapack that allows for farming iron without wrangling villagers. No villagers are necessary, and the golem is not killed.
How it Works
Simply build a golem using hoppers instead of iron blocks. The resulting golem will lay eggs like a chicken. However, the eggs are the iron and poppies for slaying an iron golem. Every 35 seconds (the spawn time for a single-cell iron farm).
To-Do
- Require distance between golems; golems can currently be stacked in a small space and unbalance iron substantially.
- ☑ (1.21.1)
Improve appearance; a hopper golem is currently identified by a trident in the head.Hopper golems are now marked by a hopper over their head. An amusing side effect of the method of attaching the hopper is that killing a hopper golem may spawn a chicken.
