This version contains no world generation changes. It contains internal changes which make it compatible with all 1.20.x versions of Minecraft up to, and including, 1.20.6.

Changes:

This change should improve the compatibility of this pack with other world generation datapacks.

Fixes:

  • Reduce proportion of flooded caves
  • Stop some of the leaves of fancy oak trees in Seasonal Forests from decaying upon generation
  • Add terrain beard to Plains villages

Changes:

  • Reduce amount of tall grass in Plains, Meadow, and Savanna
  • Reduce foliage density in Jungles
  • Make fancy oak trees in Seasonal Forests crazier
  • Change surface rules to reveal stone in areas where dirt layer is one block deep

Features/Changes:

  • Increase separation between rivers by a factor of 2, and narrow them
  • Add separate large-scale lakes within continents
  • Increase size of continents by a factor of 2
  • Add underground rivers and river carvers! Regardless of the height of the surrounding terrain, rivers will (nearly) always be filled with water and therefore traversible by boat
    • If the surrounding terrain is high enough, rivers will tunnel underneath instead
  • Make terrain wackiness more effectively distributed, so that terrain is generally more traversible
  • Many, many other tweaks to terrain shape
  • Tweak to biome colours for Savanna and Temperate Rainforest
  • Add Cherry Blossom biome

Fixes:

  • Reduce likelihood of cave biomes generating on the surface
  • Fix issue with partially-frozen rivers surrounded by non-frozen biomes
  • Remove seagrass from frozen rivers as it was causing holes to form in the ice where the depth of the water is only one block
  • Fix Mushroom Field biomes being extremely flat
