This datapack adds a new spooky convergent evolution line to Cobblemon!
Features
Hacnea, the Carver Pokémon
• Has idle, walk, cry, sleep, battle, and faint animations.
• Has four variants, each with a handful of unique animations, as well as shinies!
• Can be evolved into Jacturne via a unique method.
Where can I find it?
It's likely this pokémon could be found anywhere you might find a Jacturne, but it has also been spotted more rarely in the forest and on the plains.
How does it evolve?
Though on the surface Hacnea seems to be like any other grass type pokémon, you can spot a smouldering flame in the dark of the pumpkin's interior. Perhaps, if given something to burn, this flame would be able to grow.
Specific Details
In order to evolve, Hacnea must be changed into its "lit" form. In order to do this, it must be allowed to consume a candle (undyed, for the Hacnea's health) that is given to it. Then, upon gaining enough strength, the Hacnea will evolve.Jacturne, the Harvester Pokémon
• Currently has idle, walk, cry, sleep, battle, and faint animations.
• Includes both male and female variants, as well as shinies.
• Has emissive textures for a spooky candle glow effect.
(Optimized for Complementary Reimagined shaders)
• Has a custom cry sound effect!
Where can I find it?
This pokémon can be rarely found at night in dark forests and is rumored to be frequent on nights of the harvest moon. They seem to be attracted to a certain fruit as well...
Specific Details
Jacturne has several different spawning conditions. Combining any number of these conditions together will stack to increase its overall chance to spawn.
• Only spawns at night, regardless of other conditions.
• Spawns in dark forests.
• Spawns near wild pumpkin patches.
• Spawns more commonly during nights of the full moon.
Installation

Issues/Planned Additions
• While the cry sounds I made for this pack are serviceable, I don't consider them up to par with the official mod and may make more updates in the future. In addition,
the official mons' cries utilize spatial audio effects that mine does not. This is something I'd like to make changes to
and update if I end up learning a better method to create them in the future.
• VER 2.0 Issues with the 3D spacing of Jacturne's cry have been fixed!
• There were some sacrifices made in the implementation of Jacturne's emissive textures; as a result, the effect is not super appealing without shaders.
Even with shaders, the shiny texture gets very blown out in direct sunlight. What I
settled on is what I would consider a happy medium. Unfortunately, there is not much that can be done on my end to
change how shaders interpret light/color, and it took a lot of tweaking just to get it to the state it's in.
• VER 2.0 A separate file for complementary shaders was specifically added! While much of the above is still true, I decided having a file dedicated to CR shaders was a better solution then trying to find something that would work in all cases. Your mileage may vary with other shaderpacks, so feel free to try both files out and see what looks the best on your settings.
• The stats, abilities, and move pool were given some thought, but this is nevertheless a work in progress, and any future versions are likely to include tweaks to this. This first version also does not include TMs since they are not implemented as of Cobblemon 1.5.
• While Jacturne does not currently have a pre-evolution, I do plan to eventually add a form for Cacnea and a means to
evolve it.
• VER 2.0 Jacturne's pre-evolution Hacnea was added!
• I acknowledge the evolution method for Hacnea is a bit clunky, but it was the closest I could get to what I wanted with the current limitations on evolution methods. If more features ever get added that make improvement possible, this will be adjusted.
• I consider the 2.0 version to be baseline complete as the evolution line has now been fully implemented. Things that will come in the future are likely to be more animations, and possible tweaks to the stats and movepool. I would also be interested in adding custom signature moves and abilities if and when there is an implementation by the Cobblemon team that makes this more easily doable.
