Armor trims and smithing templates are cool!
But why are they so EXPENSIVE? (duping the templates)
Some say mojang did it to give value back to diamonds, or a new use for them, I think the idea is cool, but the execution is lackluster (mine is even lazier xD),
7 DIAMONDS TO REPLICATE A TEMPLATE??!! , I want my armor trimmed, and I want it NOW!,
If you're like me, you've come to the right place, save your diamonds and build a beacon with them; or even better, diamond shovels xD, don't waste so many resources to dupe a smithing template, LET'S MAKE TRIMMING AFFORDABLE TO EVERYONE ON (almost*) EVERY STAGE OF THE GAME!!!!
For the low price of 1 diamond**, and 7 blocks of the same material that would've been originally used for duplicating the same smithing template, you can duplicate them!
But you may ask, Why is it called "Logical Templates" and not "Cheap Knockoff Templates®", well, there's an easy answer, IN THE ARMOR TRIM TEXTURE, THE "DIAMOND" MATERIAL CAN BE SEEN ON THE PATTERN AND NOT IN THE TEMPLATE TABLET, SO LET'S SAVE DIAMONDS WHILE BEING FAITHFUL TO THE TEXTURE!!!
SAVE RESOURCES, BE SMART, SMITH SMARTER!
:D
*Nowadays, getting 1 diamond isn't as hard as getting 7 TBH I may be lazy, but I also prefer spending diamonds on something else than duping a smithing template, tho I love trimming my armor
**The only smithing template with a different recipe than the previously mentioned is the "Silent" smithing template (which is objectively the coolest), which needs 2 diamonds to dupe, to give some of its value back
