Matcha Flavoured Add-On. After killing the Dragon, toggle surface mob spawning on again (and back off if you change your mind) by throwing a divine fragment into a soul campfire. This pack does nothing if you haven't killed the Dragon yet.
Requires Matcha Flavoured.
Safe to drop into your existing Matcha world's datapacks folder.
Made because of a user's frustrations on Reddit. Tested against Matcha 1.12.5, should continue working indefinitely. If it stops working in a future update, go into the pack.mcmeta and raise the max_format from 121 to 999.
No code or assets from Matcha has been used so I'm licencing this as CC0 no rights reserved, but huge thanks to Klei for their pack.
If you want to toggle surface spawning without this pack, you can run
/scoreboard players set gamerule gamerule_safe_surface 0
which will turn surface mob spawning back on. Or set the value to 1 to turn it back off.
