Due to recognizing the sheer amount of additional features on top of the new enchantments, the project has been officially named Mizi’s Enchanting going forward. This update fully implements all new Enchants for the main tools, that being pickaxes, shovels, and hoes. In addition, the datapack, while unfinished, is now 100% safe to test in survival. It also implements crop exp, repair cost being fully reset, a few extra mob drops, some tweaks and additions to prior enchantments, and a few miscellaneous features/tweaks.

ADDITIONS:
- All custom enchants now have their set items and an empty effect, instead of just equal to Silk Touch. This means that the enchantment pack, while unfinished, is now more safe to test in an actual survival world, as all enchantments are found on their correct items, and any unfinished enchants will now simply update with each future Beta release.
- Due to continuing to find more scenarios where Too Expensive was still possible, any repair cost on items are now reset upon entering the inventory or being cursor selected.
- In addition, the anvil cost of all enchantments is now 1 times the enchant’s level.
- Various blocks now act as enchanting table transmitters, meaning they do not block bookshelves from powering up enchanting tables. Transmitter blocks include:
- Anything replaceable when placing blocks (in vanilla) (includes sculk veins)
- All blocks that act as enchanting power providers
- All stairs and slabs
- All fences, fence gates, and walls
- All doors and trapdoors
- All buttons and pressure plates
- All candles
- All banners
- Anything snow
- All signs
- All beehives
- All glass blocks and glass panes
- All carpets, including both moss carpets
- All mob head blocks, including carved pumpkins
- All coral and dead corals (NOT their block forms!)
- All singular mushrooms and fungi (not their block forms)
- Ice, frosted ice, and packed ice (not blue ice)
- Spawners, trial spawners, vaults, frogspawn, and all blocks with “egg” in name
- All non-full block plant blocks that are non-replaceable
- Pointed dripstone, cobwebs, sculk sensors, sculk shriekers, all amethyst buds
- Iron bars, chains, lightning rods, all copper grates and bulbs
- Torches, campfires, lanterns, sea lanterns, jack o’ lanterns, end rods, froglights
- All anvils, beds, cauldrons, rails
- All furnaces, stonecutter, grindstone, composter, enchanting table, brewing stand, bell, beacon, conduit, note block, jukebox, ladder, scaffolding, decorated pot, chest, trapped chest, ender chest
- Redstone dust, redstone lamp, repeater, comparator, level, calibrated sculk sensor, tripwire, tripwire hook, daylight detector, piston, sticky piston, pistons in motion, dispenser, dropper, crafter, and hopper.
- The following blocks can now be used to provide power to enchanting tables:
- All lapis and diamond ores,
- Lapis and diamond blocks,
- Obsidian and crying obsidian,
- Lecterns and chiseled bookshelves,
- Sculk catalysts
- Note: Due to datapack limitations, enchanting tables cannot take into account the contents of a chiseled bookshelf, just the block. Meaning it works while the block is empty of books.
- Most fully grown crops now give a chance to drop experience after breaking.
- Having Fortune increases the chance of the experience dropping.
- Crops that may drop 1 exp: cocoa, beetroots, wheat, carrots, potatoes, and chorus plants.
- Crops that may drop 2 exp: sweet berry bush, glow berry vines, melon stems, pumpkin stems
- Crops that may drop 3 exp: pitcher plant crop, nether wart, and chorus flowers.
- Breaking a fully grown crop with any hoe adds a chance to get an extra drop from said crop. This applies to nether wart and anything directly grown on farmland. The better the material of the tool the better the odds.
- Precision enchantment now corrects the arrow’s random aim so that it is a true firing from where you aim, thus making it true precision.
- This effect occurs regardless of Precision’s level.
- Massive thank you to ctkrocks’s Fletching Table datapack for reference of this command code from their Gold Arrows.
- Lapis Lazuli Block can be slowly smelted into Calcite. This grants 25xp per smelt.
- Can be smelted faster in a blast furnace.
- Ore block drops have been overhauled, with most deepslate variants dropping somewhat more than their stone counterparts. The exception is lapis lazuli ores.
- Silverfish now drop an ore block 5% of the time. Is NOT boosted by Looting.
- The rate is boosted to 10% when killed inside a Stronghold.
- The ore block dropped depends on the y-level of the silverfish when it was killed.
- Piglins inside a Bastion Remnant may drop a Nether Gold Ore block on death (10%).
- Bartering now includes the chance for 1-3 Nether Quartz Ore instead of Quartz.
- Enderman now may drop a Chorus Flower in the End, affected by Looting (10-20%).
- Small Slimes on fire or killed with Fire Aspect/Melting Point may now also drop 0-1 Coal, chance affected by Looting.
TWEAKS:
- The game now detects any items that have both Protection and Thorns (from vanilla RNG). If so, they will be edited to have Thorns removed to ensure the new compatibility.
- The mechanic of lowering an offhand item’s repair cost via eating an enchanted golden apple has been removed, as it is rendered useless with the above repair cost tweaks.
- The Overpowered advancement has also been removed.
- Previous files referenced a future custom enchant concept called “deflecting”. This concept has been replaced with the future enchantment concept “guts”.
- Removed references to nova_structures:postmortal_blow as it is scrapped from DnT.
- Added tooltip order ref. to nova_structures:hydro_veil for a future 1.21.6 DnT update.
- Reverted some values in Trim enchant effects due to being excessive when combined with other mechanics, such as Swift Sneak or Depth Strider.
- This is specifically for Coast and Ward trim enchant effects.
- Spire Armor Trim effect now grants 500 experience per armor piece when defeating the Ender Dragon, instead of 3000.
- Knockback’s attack knockback bonus has been reduced to 1 + 0.5 per level.
- This makes it more useful when at max level. Change does not apply to Punch.
- Unbreaking’s effects on tool items has been nerfed compared to prior versions in order to balance its golden item buff.
- The Swift Sneak creation advancement function now requires the player to have done the advancement Til Death Do Us Part before attempting such a thing.
- Sharpness now does +0.75 damage per level.
- Silk Touch now does a 1.5x multiplier to mining speed instead of 2x.
- Cleaving now does a full -0.1 in attack speed per all levels, resulting in a max of -0.5.
- In exchange it now does +5 damage at max level, up by +1.
- Tweaked the damage values of the Longshot enchant for better balancing.
FIXES:
- Fixed various enchantable tags and removed some unneeded tags.
- Fixed the Chilling enchant not actually doing the damage effects as intended.
- Fixed the Precision enchantment effects not being timed as intended.
- Fixed the particle effects of the Wayfinder trim effect to be a blueish color.
- Fixed the ominous brute/elder functions being disabled due to erroneous search functions.

- Power now boosts the arrow damage by 2 + 1 per level if the arrow used was a Strong Harming Arrow. Does not occur if the ammo weapon used has Multishot.
- If successfully fired from the weapon, then it does item damage based on the Harming arrow used: either +1 for Harming, or +2 damage for Strong Harming.

The first Beta, and the first step in full implementation of custom enchantments. Also an immediate showcase of using advancement functions to expand enchant-effect possibilities. Also comes with a couple of new features, and some tweaks after further testing.
New Enchants:
Trim Mind, Trim Core, Trim Dance, and Trim Step enchantments fully implemented. These enchantments function identically to each other, but are segmented into separate enchantments to prevent bugs and proper value balancing. These enchantments are all incompatible with each other but each apply to a different Trimmable Armor, meaning these enchantments can only ever be mutex on the same enchanted book.
They can also be randomly found in common librarian trades if the Villager Trade Rebalance experiment is enabled:
- Trim Mind is potentially offered by Snowy Librarians
- Trim Core is potentially offered by Savanna Librarians
- Trim Dance is potentially offered by Desert Librarians
- Trim Step is potentially offered by Taiga Librarians
- Can be found randomly in all librarian trades if the Villager Trade Rebalance experiment is not enabled
The effects applied by the enchantment depends on the Trim Pattern of the equipped armor it is enchanted to:
- Sentry: Increases movement speed while holding a crossbow in either hand, by 12.5% base per piece.
- Coast: Increases movement speed while swimming / crawling, by 12.5% base per piece.
- Wild: Earn extra exp when breeding animals. Rare animals award more exp:
- 10 exp per piece if the child is: cow, chicken, pig, sheep, wolf, cat, axolotl, rabbit, bee, llama, trader llama
- 25 exp per piece if the child is: horse, donkey, ocelot, fox, strider, camel, armadillo. Also rewarded for breeding two turtles or two frogs.
- 60 exp per piece if the child is: blue axolotl (regardless of parent), mule, mooshroom, panda, hoglin. Also rewarded for breeding two sniffers.
- 3125 exp per piece if child is: blue axolotl (neither parent is blue)
- Vex: Gain 2 armor protection factor per piece when hit by uncommon damage types.
- Dune: Increased durability protection for piece equal in effect to Unbreaking II (1/3)
- Bolt: Increased movement speed when walking on any copper block, by 25% per piece.
- Wayfinder: Repairs the piece by 1 durability every 15s when in certain Overworld biomes. Blue particles appear when repairing:
- Rivers, Oceans, Stony Shores, Mushroom Fields, and Cliff Under a Tree's Cliffs.
- Raiser: Repairs the piece by 1 durability every 15s when in certain Overworld biomes. Orange particles appear when repairing:
- Beaches, Hills, Savannas, Plains, Desert, CliffTree Desert biomes, and CliffTree's Tundra biome.
- Shaper: Repairs the piece by 1 durability every 15s when in certain Overworld biomes. Yellow particles appear when repairing:
- Peaks, Snowy Slopes, Meadow, Cherry Grove, Grove, cave biomes, All CliffTree cave biomes, and CliffTree's Glacier Valley.
- Host: Repairs the piece by 1 durability every 15s when in certain Overworld biomes. Green particles appear when repairing:
- Jungles, Taigas, Badlands, Most Forests, Swamps, Pale Garden, CliffTree's Sparse Forest, and CliffTree's Bog.
- Rib: Repairs the piece by 1 durability every 15s when in the Nether. Red particles appear when repairing.

- Ward: Increased movement speed when sneaking, by 12.5% per piece.
- Silence: User deals +5 more hearts of damage to Wardens, per piece.
Other Additions:
- Piglins can now be converted into Piglin Brutes in this datapack:
- To trigger the conversion, give a Piglin Strength 1 or higher while it is inside a Bastion Remnant. After some time (5 secs at most), they will transform into a Piglin Brute with particles and sounds playing as well as removing Strength.
- This process requires a nearby player to have Bad Omen. In addition, if the Piglin has a custom name, or is a Baby Piglin, it cannot be converted.
- Guardians can now be converted into Elder Guardians in this datapack:
- To trigger the conversion, give a Guardian Resistance 3 or higher while it is inside an Ocean Monument. After some time (5 secs at most), they will transform into an Elder Guardian with particles and sound playing as well as removing Resistance.
- This process requires a nearby player to have Bad Omen. In addition, if the Guardian has a custom name, it cannot be converted.
- Gilded Blackstone’s block drops have been completely overhauled. By default, it can now drop:
- 1 Gold Block: 1%, +1% per level of Fortune. If not,
- 2-5 Gold Nuggets: 10%, 14.29%, 25%, and 100% depending on level of Fortune. If not,
- 1 Gilded Blackstone. This drops first if Silk Touch is used.
- If the player wears pieces of the Snout Armor Trim paired with a Trim enchantment, this boosts the chance of finding a gold block while lowering the chance of finding gold nuggets automatically. The number of Snout + Trim enchant pieces worn by the player determine the base odds:
- 1 Gold Block: 7.5%, 12.5%, 25%, 33% per Snout + Trim enchant. Each can be further boosted by Fortune, up to double odds at Fortune III.
- 2-5 Gold Nuggets: 1.25%, 2.5%, 5%, 10% per Fortune if any piece with both Snout and a Trim enchantment is present on the player.
- Gilded Blackstone if both fail, or if Silk Touch is used.
Tweaks:
- Thorns’ movement buff in slowing blocks has been rewritten completely:
- Much of the rewrite is based on Soul Speed effect format
- Now functions as intended in lava.
- Properly detects slowing blocks when stepping on and when block is below.
- Now affects the user’s movement efficiency, which now allows the blocks / lava to not even slow the user down in the first place. This attribute raises with each piece and the level of the Thorns enchantment.
- Thorns no longer apply any of their effects when held, only when equipped on armor.
- Paper can now be found from Piglin Bartering. This now, along with other bartering items, allows enchanting table setups to be made 100% in the Nether.
There were enough fixes and tweaks needed to warrant one more unplanned alpha, but with this version, all the features involving vanilla enchantments should now be 100% working as intended. Along the way a few new features were added due to testing and feedback.
Additions:
- Protection enchantment now doubles its EPF factor (equal in effect to vanilla Protection) when taking damage from sources already protected by armor points.
Tweaks:
- Projectile Protection has its entity interaction range per level and/or piece nerfed upon feedback. Now a full set of Projectile Protection IV only gives +2 extra entity reach.
- Thorns has its movement buff in slowing blocks greatly increased.
- Piglin Bartering majorly tweaked again after playtesting:
- Weights of all the items have been tweaked across the board.
- Ancient Debris notably appears slightly more than Netherite Smithing Template
- Fire Charges now set to 1-2 count
- The Soul Speed book is now always Lv.1
- The Iron Boots with Soul Speed loot item is removed.
Fixes:
- Fixed various entity loot tables so that all levels of Looting now properly boost the chances of certain items as intended.
- Added various missing block loot tables files (beetroot crop, wheat crop, dirt path, large fern, pale oak leaves, and tall grass)
- Fixed the polar bear function so now they properly heal in their spawn biomes as intended.
- Cleaned up grammar for the description of the Til Death Do Us Part advancement.
On that note: the next release should be the Beta. As a small teaser, it will add 4 feature heavy enchantments being properly implemented into the game: Trim Mind, Trim Core, Trim Dance, and Trim Step. Treasure enchantments that grant a unique effect depending on the armor trim pattern of the armor piece. Armor trim material remains decorative only. What each trim pattern does will be revealed in the first Beta. Stay tuned.
Now up to 25w10a (datapack version 70)

- Echo shards can now repair all tools with an already present repair material. This includes Elytra, Maces, Shields, and Tridents (they now accept prismarine crystals).
- This is done by hidden temporary advancements running functions in the player’s inventory, for all the various tools. Netherite tools are given extra care to be edited upon either obtaining or smithing.
- The following items will now be given enchantability values when entering the player’s inventory (i.e. being able to be enchanted in the enchanting table):
- Leather Horse Armor: 15
- Iron Horse Armor: 9
- Golden Horse Armor: 25
- Diamond Horse Armor: 10
- Piglin Bartering loot table has received a multitude of tweaks Notably, this includes extremely rare but renewable ancient debris and Netherite Smithing Templates:
- Tweaked odds of all items slightly to account for new items
- Added Glowstone Dust 2-6
- Changed the Nether Brick to Netherrack
- Fire Charges now come in counts of 1-4
- Obsidian now come in counts of 1-2
- Water Bottle is now a Splash Water Bottle
- Ancient Debris added at a 0.21% chance
- Netherite Upgrade Smithing Template added at a 0.21% chance
- Hoes are now considered an applicable tool for brown mushroom blocks, red mushroom blocks, mushroom stems, chorus plants, and chorus flowers. This means they can be mined quicker by using a hoe.
- Wearing Swift Sneak III or higher now allows you to convert player-placed sculk shriekers into ones that can summon Wardens. The sculk shrieker must be in an Ancient City, and you must stand on top of the sculk shrieker to convert it.
- Activating a Totem of Undying inside an Ancient City will cause Swift Sneak 1 to mysteriously appear on worn leggings. The leggings must not already have Swift Sneak, and the player must be warning level 4 of summoning a Warden. This is to allow the Swift Sneak enchantment to be renewable through a death defying method.
- This is hinted at by the new vanilla advancement found in the Adventure Tab, named “Til Death Do Us Part”. This advancement triggers upon following the requirements for the first time, and its icon is an enchanted Diamond Leggings.
- Tropical Fish Buckets can now be crafted in the crafting table with one tropical fish and one water bucket. Due to not having any custom data assigned, the fish summoned from the bucket will be random color and variant. This is intended.
- All polar bears now regenerate health every second when they are in biomes they naturally spawn in, such as frozen oceans or snowy plains.
- Striders now have more blocks to keep warm in. This includes magma blocks, blackstones, basalts, campfires, jack o’ lanterns, and all variants of nether bricks.
- Trial Chambers ominous vaults now have an equal 7.5% chance to give either the Creator or Creator (Music Box) music discs. The chance for the Music Box disc from pots inside trial chambers is removed.
- Can now repair an anvil in the crafting table. Surround the chipped or damaged anvil with 8 iron ingots to repair it to the next undamaged variant.
- Added recipe advancements for echo shards, tropical fish buckets, stonecutting deepslate, and repairing an anvil in the crafting table.
- This is the first version where loading this datapack as a resource pack is also an option. For now, this offers the en_us translations for the “Til Death Do Us Part” advancement.
Tweaks
- Creeper’s loot table has been majorly edited for additional music disc interaction
- If killed inside Trail Ruins by a Skeleton, then there’s a 20% chance it will drop the Relic Music Disc instead of the normal ones.
- If killed inside Trial Chambers by a Skeleton, then there’s a 20% chance it will drop one of the three music discs from that structure instead of the normal ones. (10% of the time it’s Precipice, 7% it’s Creator, and 3% it’s Creator (Music Box).)
- If killed inside an Ancient City by a Skeleton, it will drop 2-3 Disc Fragment 5’s. If killed inside a Bastion Remnant by a Piglin, it will drop the Pigstep Music Disc 100% of the time.
- The previously added 1% Creeper Head drop boosted by Looting is still present.
- Removed the alpha version from the pack description.
- Tweaked some advancement function files for future organization purposes
Fixes
- Fixed an unnecessary line in the functions used to limit repair cost to 31.
Note:
- This should be the last feature-heavy alpha, and the next release will be the first Beta. This will start development on the various new enchantments planned to be added, with a final current goal of 55 different enchants.

- Piglin heads were added to the piglin_safe_armor tag in Alpha 0.2, meaning wearing it will prevent them from aggroing piglins automatically. This is an intended feature.
- The otherside_music_disc was added to creeper’s potential music disc drops in Alpha 0.2. This was erroneously not documented prior but is intended.
Initial Modrinth release. Contains just vanilla enchantment changes and some feature additions, with plans for brand new enchantments later on.
Contains the following changes to vanilla enchantments:
- All enchantments have tweaked anvil costs depending on their max level. Those with max level of 1 have an anvil cost of 3. Max level of 2 now have an anvil cost of 2. Those with max levels of 3 to 5 now have an anvil cost of 1.
- Damage enchantments are classed into two groups: basic and special. All items that can recieve damage enchantments can have one basic and one special enchantment. Basic damage enchants include Sharpness, Breach, and Impaling (tridents only). Special damage enchants include Smite, Bane of Arthropods, and Density (maces only)
- Sharpness is changed to 0.5 damage per level, and Smite / Bane of Arthropods is changed to 1 damage per level. Impaling is 1 + 0.75 damage per level, and Density now adds 0.2 damage per level per fallen block instead of 0.5.
- Breach is now applicable to all weapons instead of just the Mace.
- Breach's armor penetration effect is reduced to 7% per level, but each level of Breach now adds 0.1 attack speed to the weapon, allowing for full-power attacks more frequently.
- Sharpness, Breach, Smite, and Bane of Arthropods can now be found in the enchanting table for Axes, Tridents, and Maces.
- Smite now inflicts Weakness 1 to all mobs upon direct hit, but at a 20 + 5 per level chance of occurring.
- Bane of Arthropods now does boosted damage to Creepers, Shulkers, Striders, and any entity with the Infested or Weaving effect. It also occurs for any mob trapped in cobwebs.
- Bane of Arthropods now inflicts Slowness 1 to all mobs upon direct hit, at a 20 + 5 per level chance.
- Wind Burst's height boost is cut in half compared to vanilla to allow for easier combos.
- One can now hit a block with a Wind Burst item to summon a wind charge at the block's location. This can allow for combo setups, though using this effect will attempt to damage the item for 2 durability each time it hits a block.
- Protection enchantments are now classed into two groups: basic and special. One can have one basic protection and one special protection on an armor piece. In addition, all Protection pieces are now compatible with Horse Armors in survival.
- Protection and Thorns are considered basic protections, which means they are mutex with each other. Special protections include Fire / Blast / Projectile Protection.
- Thorns can now be found for all armor types in the enchantmenting table, and at max level. It's max level is also raised to 4.
- Thorns no longer directly reduces the armor's durability when applying it's effects.
- Thorns damage now ignores invulnerability, allowing multiple pieces to stack their damage effects properly.
- Thorns has a 15% chance per level to trigger upon any attack, and deal 1 to 2 damage. Melee attacks have a lower 8.5% chance per level to trigger, but deals 3 to 5 damage. The damage dealt is doubled if the effect triggers on Horse Armor.
- Thorns now also boosts the user's movement speed per level when slowed by various blocks that impede movement, such as cobwebs, sweet berry bushes, lava, and honey blocks. The effect stacks with multiple Thorns pieces, and is stronger on Horse Armor.
- The EPF of all protection enchantments is reduced to 0.5 per level for Protection, and 0.75 per level for Fire / Blast / Projectile Protection. EPF however is raised when on Horse Armor due to having only one single slot for effects.
- Fire Protection now lowers damage from magic, indirect magic, freezing, and dragon's breath.
- Fire Protection's burning time reduction tweaked so that having all four armor pieces with Fire Protection 4 now sets burning time to 0.
- Blast Protection now also lowers damage from lightning, sonic booms, and dragon's breath.
- Blast Protection now also provides slight knockback resistance per level.
- Projectile Protection now also lowers damage from dragon's breath, fireworks, cactuses, llama spit, and bee stings.
- Projectile Protection now provides very slight boosts to entity interaction range per level and piece.
- Respiration now also lowers the damage from cramming, drowning, drying out, ender pearls, being outside the world border, and falling out of the world.
- Frost Walker's rate of creating frosted ice is now boosted as to allow sprinting jumping while using it's effects.
- Frost Walker now converts powder snow beneath your feet into snow blocks.
- Frost Walker can now be applied to Horse Armor.
- Soul Speed now has slightly boosted movement speed and slightly lowered chance of durability loss each step.
- Fire Aspect now has a max level of 3, and each level does 4 + 3 seconds of fire duration to hit targets.
- Looting can now be applied to Axes, Bows, Crossbows, Tridents, and Maces.
- Looting's boosted chance for equipment drops raised to 3% per level.
- Axes with any level of Looting now take 1 less durability damage when attacking entities.
- Knockback can now be applied to Axes, Tridents, Maces, Pickaxes, Shovels, and Hoes.
- Knockback and Punch are made mutex for technical purposes.
- Silk Touch now doubles the mining efficiency of the tool it's on. This of course stacks with Efficiency and the Haste effect.
- Efficiency now has a base addition of 10 as well as the level bonus. This means that Efficiency 5 now provides +35 mining efficiency to the tool it's on. Notably, with Efficiency 5, Silk Touch, and Haste 2, this allows for insta-mining deepslate in this datapack.
- Swift Sneak now boosts sneaking speed by 30 + 20 per level, meaning Swift Sneak 3's sneaking speed is equal to walking speed.
- Luck of the Sea now provides +2 luck per level.
- Lure now has a max level of 5.
- Power can now be applied to Crossbows.
- Power's damage boost to all arrows is nerfed to 0.5 + 0.25 per level. However, if the hit target has the Glowing effect, there is an additional 0.5 + 0.5 per level damage boost. This incentivizes the use of Spectral Arrows.
- Punch can now be applied to Crossbows.
- Infinity now has a max level of 5, and is now compatible with Crossbows AND the Mending enchantment. Infinity is made incompatible with Multishot, however.
- Each level of Infinity does 17% odds of not using up an arrow upon firing, and it now works with all arrows except for Spectral Arrows.
- Flame now has a max level of 3, and levels higher than 1 now does 1 extra damage to ignited targets.
- Piercing now has a starting value of 2, meaning up to 6 mobs can be hit at once at max level.
- Piercing is now compatible with Multishot.
- Arrows now ignore invulnerability frames, allowing all three arrows from Multishot to hit a target at once.
- Channeling now has a max level of 3, and each level determines the environment that can allow for summoning of lightning from tridents. Channeling 1 is like vanilla and is only in thunderstorms 100% of the time. Channel 2 adds an additional 50% chance for lightning if thrown under rain. Channeling 3 ups the rain chance to 66%, and adds a 33% chance to summon lightning at night.
- Tridents with any level of Loyalty now return to the player if ever thrown into the End dimension's void.
- Curse of Vanishing now longer makes the item vanish upon death. It instead vanishes 1 exp point from the holder each second per held/equipped piece with Curse of Vanishing.
- In exchange, each held/equipped copy of Curse of Vanishing now boosts your damage by 1. The user must have at least 1 experience level for this effect to occur.
- Curse of Binding no longer binds itself to the user's slot when equipped. It now simply causes the user to take 1 heart of damage each time they attack an entity.
- In exchange, each Curse of Binding equipped now raises the user's armor toughness by 2.
- Unbreaking now has a max level of 5. It's durability loss prevention for armor is slightly boosted.
- Unbreaking now has it's effects boosted by 50% if used on Golden armor or tools.
Also includes the following features to support the enchanting economy. More will be added in the future:
- Echo shards are now craftable at 4 at a time, via 8 amethyst shards and 1 sculk shrieker.
- Echo shards can now be used as a substitute repair material for all items with a repair material. Netherite's base repair material is now changed to Netherite Scrap.
- Deepslate can now be put through the stonecutter to turn into cobbled deepslate.
