A plus-shape made out of cobblestone, with 4 gold blocks in the corners.

The Nether Reactor Core in the center, and cobblestone on top of each of the gold blocks.

The structure is replaced with Glowing Obsidian, and there are hostile Zombified Piglins and item drops spread around.

The aftermath

The core is covered in obsidian, but still recoverable! The walls of the spire have decayed, and it's night outside.

The top row of the chest shows the possible items for each drop. It is equally weighted between the item types, and the stack sizes are always the same per item. The hotbar shows an example yield from a single run of the Nether Reactor.
