No Shield - Hardcore Combat Balance
A lightweight gameplay modification designed to completely remove shields from your Minecraft world. This project changes the core combat meta by disabling the ability to craft vanilla shields, forcing players to rely on timing, movement, armor, and weapon choices to survive encounters.
⚔️ What This Datapack Changes
- No More Shield: The standard recipe for crafting a shield using iron and wooden planks is entirely deactivated.
- Hardcore Combat Meta: Players can no longer block incoming damage from skeletons, creepers, or other players. Every fight becomes more dangerous and tactical.
- Balanced Progression: Ideal for custom survival servers, PvP arenas, or hardcore modpacks where early-game safety needs to be limited.
🚀 Game Impact
- PVP & PVE Overhaul: Combat relies purely on dodging, landing critical hits, and armor protection. Skeletons and bosses pose a significantly higher threat.
- Safe Installation: This modification only alters item availability. It is completely safe to add to existing worlds or remove at any point without breaking your save files or causing glitches.
