Travel across the world in search of ancient remains hidden beneath layers of stone and soil. This datapack brings palaeontology to Minecraft through excavation sites, fossils, brushes, structures, and decorative discoveries inspired by real-world fossil hunting.
Explore naturally generated dig sites found across beaches, forests, and stony shores, each containing clues to creatures that lived long before the player arrived. Search through fossil-bearing rocks and boulders, decorate your world with geological finds, and build your own museums, excavation camps, or research facilities.

Throughout your journey you'll encounter a variety of rocks and boulders, ranging from ordinary geological formations to specimens containing ancient fossils. These can be used both as decorative elements and as part of the fossil-hunting experience, helping bring prehistoric environments to life.
To aid your discoveries, the datapack includes multiple brush variants designed for careful excavation work. Combined with the included Straw Hat, you'll be fully equipped to begin your career as a palaeontologist.

Excavation sites generate naturally throughout the world, offering locations to investigate and explore. From quiet forest clearings to windswept beaches and rugged stony shores, each site feels like a forgotten window into the distant past.
Progress through the datapack by completing advancements, discovering new locations, and uncovering fossils hidden across the landscape.

Whether you're building a natural history museum, creating immersive adventure worlds, or simply looking for something new to discover during exploration, this datapack adds a layer of prehistoric mystery to your Minecraft world.
