I was inspired by some YouTubers suffering through obsidian environments but couldn't find one to download, so I made this.
This datapack:
-Influences "noise_settings" in world generation to convert biomes to obsidian.
-Removes most structures.
-Removes excessive blocks to reduce lag.
-Adds custom crafting recipes to bypass the immediate need for a crafting table or wood.
Four slimeballs make a slime block.
Four bonemeal make a bone block.
Three iron ingots still make a bucket, but can be assembled shapelessly in a player's inventory.
There are at least 18 custom recipes listed solely in the Modrinth photo gallery for this project. all are learned upon entering the game.
(The wandering trader has standard trades).
Day #1 collect slimeballs to make slimeblocks and build a shelter.
Make a bone bed with 2 wool and 2 bone blocks in the player's inventory(or a crafting table).
Try to collect the loot that drops from sunburnt mobs every morning.
Eventually, collect enough blocks to make a waterless mob grinder, and/or mob-proof the area.
Once you have enough iron ingots, craft a cauldron using the custom or standard recipe to catch rainwater.
If you're lucky enough to find a lush caves biome, Glowberries evaded the obsidianification process and are good light sources.
Blaze spawners and spawning occur at Nether Fortresses, and Endermen will drop ender pearls. Craft some eyes of Ender to locate and activate an End Portal to slay the Ender Dragon.
