Hotfix 1 fixes an error with the Harmony Pact advancement
Chaos and Harmony Update
1.2.0 Beta 1 is here!
This mod now requires Apugli.
-
Chaos Creature is now available via a Chaos Resonator if you achieve Minecraft's Hardest Achievement before you master all three pony tribes.
-
Abilities that are currently burst-fire (hold to charge, release to fire) will be automatic-fire when rolled via Chaos
-
New Talent: Amicus Omnium. Tame any tamable creature with a simple right-click for free. Harmony protects you from harm, halving all damage received and causing mobs to ignore you. In exchange, you can not harm another living creature. This talent is a Commitment, only available after Alicorn is unlocked. If you choose this Talent, and then change it for another Talent later, you will not be able to choose it again. If the game registers you made a kill, you will lose Harmony's protection (mobs will once again attack, and no more damage resistance) and will not be able to choose the Talent again.
-
Amicus Omnium prevents you from dealing any damage, or placing or using certain dangerous items or blocks when any entity is near. Safety first.
-
Overhauled the diets - expanded diet foods are now edible using the vanilla eating mechanic.
-
Direct Eat repurposed - Herbivores and Goats can now eat some in-world blocks that they would normally be able to eat as items.
-
Barrier now shows a shield effect around the player when active.
-
Changed the order of species in the Origins menu and Mastery mechanics, to reflect the more canon EUP order (instead of EPU).
-
Added advancement and gameplay mechanics for Dragons drinking the Forbidden Sauce
-
Tweaked Dragon Flamethrower and Zebra Dust to have a small cooldown after running out of breath
-
Herbivores, Fructivores, and Goats can now eat Glistering Melons - though this is more or less a waste of gold.
-
Fixed the "hit my wings on the walls" sound not playing when you fly too close to a wall and suddenly start falling.
-
Minotaur's Punch and Alicorn's Magna Ungula now have a less powerful version of the YAK SMASH ability. Hold the appropriate power button to charge up the power punch. This ability can also mine a block. Further balance changes will come in the future.
-
Fixed Dragon's Flamethrower not working when playing without Ad Astra
-
Dragons can now eat coal and charcoal to replenish their Heat
-
Emotivores no longer punch the air when feeding
-
Dragons and Kirin will make a different hit sound when their dragonscale armor absorbs damage.
-
Language and lore cleanup

The first Beta release is upon us! Many backend fixes and tweaks have been made!
- Fixed all of the EUP Mastery Advancements, so they actually work!
- Tweaked the requirements of the above and rebalanced some of them
- Increased Teleport Range to 400 blocks, added Alicorn version with 1000 block range, may tweak again in the next patch
- Fixed Thunder's rainstorm logic, so now it should properly fire with the correct energy requirements
- Added Ad Astra's Steel Plating to "conductors" blocks. Be careful when using Shock Ray.
- Added crop harvest logic to the Flora Mastery advancement. No more cheesing the advancement by harvesting unripe crops.
- Added lots of modded metal armors to the "conductive armor" logic - stay grounded and wear these armors when fighting a Shock Ray user
Future Goals and Improvements:
- Balance Teleport some more
- Balance Advancements some more
- Ensure all energy-based abilities have unified "no energy" logic
- Research ways to make mobs ignore a specific player
- Herbivores can eat grass and other inworld blocks directly?
- Backport changes to MC 1.19.2 / Origins 1.7.x?
- Upgrade to MC 1.20.2 / Origins 1.11.x?
As always, suggestions, bug reports, and so on are massively helpful. I can't test everything on my own, so don't be afraid to let me know what's what.
Pony Origins 1.1.0 Alpha 32
The great update to Origins 1.10 for 1.20.1!
New Additions
- Firecracker - Summon a flurry of Tactical Fireworks!
- Shock Ray - A paralyzing beam of electricity to stun your attacker!
Major Changes
- All charge to use abilities use a new modular shared key event system for less code repeats and more consistency
- Projectiles use new actions instead of powers for much greater code simplicity
- Rebalanced all the offensive abilities - the beams are the only "automatic" abilities, the rest are hold to charge, release to fire
- Rebalanced energy costs on all offensive abilities
- Dragon and Zebra now use air when firing their abilities. Running out of breath is a problem, but Dragons are still superior with fire
- Dragon flamethrower now has longer range than Unicorn flamethrower, but is limited by breath
- Reworked Rocket Mare to be faster, trigger more consistently, and actually cause grave injury to any in its 6 block blast radius
- Changed Unicorn Telekinesis Mastery to no longer require mining in extended range, now just mining with tools will count for progression
- Lowered Progression threshold for Pegasus Aerial Mastery - will consider raising it again if it's too easy to obtain while monster hunting
- Lowered "anti-lag" for abilities from 5 ticks (250ms) to 2 ticks (100ms), allowing to cancel some abilities in case you accidentally tapped them
- Added and implemented tags for more conditionals, to make it easier to maintain and add modded item interactions
Little Things
- Fixed the description on Insectoid Wings - they aren't as fragile as the menu makes them out to be
- Fixed the menu ordering for races and talents.
- Fixed the descriptions for Pegasus and Unicorn Mastery Advancements. It should hint better at what you need to work on.
- Fixed all the particle animations - they are now better positioned to be where the horn (or mouth) should be, while visible to the user
- Added "charged" particle animations - a better visual indicator that one can now release to fire off an ability
- Bug fixes and code cleanups
Your feedback is always important. Start a ticket or a discussion and let me know what could be better or worse.
Due to the major changes in 1.20.1 and Origins 1.10, a backport to 1.19.2 will only be worked on if it is desired.
The Great Retaggening is here!
- Refactored all the tags to make the items being tagged not required. This reduces code complexity in several powers, and makes for a much cleaner log file, now that tags load properly when playing with fewer mods.
- Related: Some tags are now simplified and reference other tags of relevant items.
- Related: All diets now have slightly more consistent behaviors
- Tweaked direct eating to "reset" eating progress once the "anti-lag" buffer hits 0 (5 ticks after letting go of the button).
- Fixed oil on wings also triggering wet.
- Oil prevents cobweb wing entanglement.
- Re-balanced flight stamina. It now uses a buffer and flight's energy / stamina usage is dramatically lower. Flying races can now actually fly around and not worry about needing to stop and eat every second.
