Starter Fort

Is your world as brutal as mine? Or are you just a fan of forts?

This structure was made as a safe starter base for modpacks that are a little too difficult otherwise. It has enough space to live, relax and ignore the world outside for as long as you feel like it… maybe forever?

This structure was made to be a standalone base for anyone in need.

This means that there are no mod requirements. But if you do decide to use this structure together with the mod Structure Spawn Point you will get the complete experience I had in mind during the design process. When the starter fort is used together with my mod, not only will your world spawn automatically get set to this structure, you will also get some custom mob spawns in the fort's barricaded tower.

If you are using Structure Spawn Point you will need to update its config with "target_structure": "starter_fort:fort".

The fort is one big structure piece, which means it is one hand-crafted piece that will always look as intended, but it also means making it fit into your Minecraft world flawlessly is a challenge. I have achieved it in two ways. First, the underside of the fort was made to look like a natural cliff, this makes it look surprisingly good when sticking out of the terrain. Second, above and around the fort is a buffer of air before natural world gen takes over, even a completely buried fort won't look completely out of place.

There are some secrets to be found in the fort. Have a look around - you never know what you might find.
