Datapack
This datapack adds features inspired by the classic seasons of Strength SMP. In this system:
-
Strength Levels: Killing a player increases your strength level, while dying decreases it. Each positive strength level directly boosts your weapon's damage, while negative levels reduce it. The damage increase is direct, not an effect-based buff.
-
Damage Calculation: For every positive strength level, your weapon gains an additional damage point. For example, if your sword normally does 5 damage, it will do 6 damage at strength level 1, 7 damage at level 2, and so on. The formula is simple:
Total Damage = Base Damage + Strength Level
-
Death Penalty: If your strength level drops to -6, you can no longer play until another player revives you using a special item called the Reviver.
Features
- Strength Gain: Gain 1 strength level for each player kill. (+1)
- Strength Loss: Lose 1 strength level each time you die to another player. (-1)
- Strength Level Limits: The strength level ranges from a minimum of -5 to a maximum of +5.
- Revival Penalty: Revived players respawn with a strength level of -5.
- Overflow Strength Levels: If you gain a strength level while already at the maximum (+5), your strength level will continue increasing (e.g., +6, +7, etc.). [Note: This behavior is subject to change in future updates.]
- Notifications: Receive in-game messages for both strength level gains and losses.
- Visible Strength Levels: Player strength levels will be displayed above their name. [Note: Future updates will include configurable options for this display, along with an action bar to view your own strength level.]
Upcoming Features: Many exciting and essential features are still in development. Stay tuned for future updates by following this datapack!
Reviver // +Recipe
Reviver Item: The Reviver is an item used to revive dead players. When you hold the Reviver and right-click, it will randomly revive a dead player who is currently online on the server. Since it revives a random player, you must use it carefully, ensuring that the specific player you want to revive is online at the time.
