Bigger update this time, mainly changing tasks by a decent amount and fixing a few important issues, namely losing items in other dimensions.

Resource pack has also been updated in this version to fix all z-fighting (for vanilla only), and fixing it displaying 1.20.0/1 as a incompatible version

2.3.4 Changelogs
  • Theres now a new setting which is enabled by default (Unless you updated from a earlier version) which will require all players to have picked up a vanilla template of the corresponding task atleast once before being able to even progress it. All collection will still be permanently stored even if the setting is turnt off, and having the actual, proper templates won't count towards being able to progress the task.

  • RTD/Random Task Defender. TLDR: Randomly when progressing a task, get a popup that you need to enter through a trigger to gain progression, otherwise lose some.

    • Alot more information in its advancement tab ingame, just didn't want to make the changelogs too long
  • Increased the difficulty of most tasks by ~10-30%, ontop of the new template-requirement, though the task itself is still similar with RTD (Unless AFK)

  • Mild optimization for all task checking if you're on 1.20.3+, especially if you're updating from 1.20.1 since it'll optimize the AFK assignment aswell.

  • Changed the Wayfinder completion sound(s) to player instead of master volume, also reduced teleportation volume

    • Added a extra second to the darkness from Wayfinder's teleport to match the full teleport time better
    • Stopped Wayfinder's levitation from displaying the Spire task if its available, but still counts towards it.
  • Getting a empowered trim through the dragon egg will now give its first-time message (if haven't already)

  • Added trident-sounds to tide-warp, and reduced the strength of its volume scale

  • Being in the Nether's lava without fire resistance will give a 25% to gain a extra second

  • Made Spire's task display in seconds like Rib, instead of minutes.

    • Increased the range, volume, duration, and warning time of Spire's portal, alongside a beam above it to help indicate its location through shaders (or 1.20.0/1)
      • Every entity can jump or be thrown through the portal to teleport, though pearls activate upon touching it.
        • Just for troll reasons, entities will have a half second cooldown on making their teleportation sound and particles, but will still teleport.
        • (The teleport volume and amount of particles is also reduced even for when it does activate with entities, except for ender pearls like above)
  • Ender Pearls will no longer be effected by Spire's NoGravity and Silence's Silent

  • Dune's task now won't be displayed in combat, but will still get progressed.

    • RTD will not activate on players who are in combat while progressing only Dune
  • Increased the range of the first tick of Raiser's beam by ~50%

  • Made completing the swimming task more noticeable by increasing the volume and adding the elder guardian effect.

  • Each player will get a 1-30 second cooldown on having their death count towards Vex

  • Added a 1-15 second cooldown on deaths progressing Host, but still being displayed.

  • Made Wild's tame-kill damage still activate even if the owner is offline, just now without credit.

  • Added a short delay to the raid reduction so it actually appears over the trade reduction for Sentry

  • Made Gold-Lord not check baby piglins, nerfed its weaker levels, but fixed its highest level

  • Added shipwrecks to the possible fishing locations for Coast

  • Improved the accuracy of Silence hitting a Warden, aswell as a better indicator.

  • Linked Killer-Trim-Item-TP to the DeathTransfer setting so now trimmed items won't get teleported to the killer if its disabled

  • Added a extra advancement to split up future datapacks, and updated the description of other tabs.

  • Made it to where the two "current" setting functions will display their values even if its a default one

  • Added "/function blue:debug/get_world_data", sends a message of some of your world data, which can help me determine if a issue was a bug or not

  • Added "/trigger Discord.BLUE" to simply paste a clickable Discord link into your chat, instead of needing to manually type out the code from other sources.

  • Added "/function blue:debug/restore_default" to restore all default settings.

  • Added "/function blue:debug/restore_last_death_(1/2/3)", which restores the inventory of the last death up to 3

    • Restore command can be infinitely used, anyones death will impact everyone's save, so if you die and someone dies 3 times, you'll lose your save.
  • Fixed Wayfinder not working if used with some of the other empowered trims

  • Fixed Wayfinder being able to detect its user when teleporting or moving too fast

  • Fixed Wayfinder's distance calculation being a bit off

  • Fixed being able to claim Rib as a second trim even if multi-trim is disabled with near perfect timing.

  • Fixed Dune's task not showing the final number whenever completing it

  • Fixed Raiser's level task not being restricted by One-Trim-Per-Player

  • Fixed the TrimOwners trigger sometimes not being usable

  • Added/fixed the dragon egg advancement tab not being immediately given upon defeating the dragon

  • Fixed the wrong item being detected as a trim whenever dropped at the same time (+ slight optimization for 1.20.3+)

  • Fixed the small chance of trimmed armor or a template disappearing if its the first item in your inventory

  • Fixed all items not dropping but still getting cleared if far enough away from the center of the current dimension

  • Fixed Tide's surface "poke" ability during rain having a 10x higher chance to activate

  • Fixed using 2 Tidal stacks whenever teleporting on 1.20.0/1

v2.3.3 Changelogs
  • Cleaned up empty, unused, or random files, reducing the total size for this update.

  • Adds custom damage type to Raiser and Coast (Update to resource pack)

  • Adds a bit more specific compatibility/optimization when used with a few other trim mods/datapacks

  • Added a update message, can be disabled but only appears when actually updating the pack.

  • Fixed Wild not detecting tamed rideable mobs

    • Also overall more optimized on 1.20.3+
Future?I might plan on adding some more features soon like;
  • Making trims/material can change more based on the armor you're actually wearing (leather, netherite, etc),

  • Making tools trimmable but their buffs don't change based on template/material, and aren't that impactful. Just useful for if you have 8 templates and you want to benefit from both.

  • Maybe adding textures to other equippable armor?

Join the Discord for possible polls, or if you have any suggestions/questions. May even start giving a heads up on updates

  • Fixed two major issues which cause tasks to literally be impossible to progress, and one of the (less important) timers not existing on 1.20.2

  • Added compatibility with 1.20.0 and 1.20.1, though it disables: Any-Slot Tidal Trident, Wayfinder Distance & Teleporters, TrimOwners, and Template-Prevention for owners

  • Fixed some inconsistencies with messages, and added a indicator when trimmed armor is returned to you.

  • Whenever completing a task, you'll get a message similarly to empowered materials, giving most of the information you need about the trim, which includes the material it goes well with. Theres also now a setting to announce whenever a task is completed, on by default.

    • Added (and pointed out) more settings, like Keep Inventory, Trim Usage, Tasks, Transfer-Trim-on-Death, Completion Announcements, One-Trim-Per-Player, etc. You can get a guide book by typing /function blue:settings/guide
    • Added /trigger TrimSettings.BLUE to display the above settings, but it'll only display trim usage if its disabled, and task availability if its set to "owner only", since you can figure out the other 2 through the advancements page.
  • Added faster piglin trading and fire resistance to Snout, and possibly buffs to it. Also, when Sentry and Snout are next to eachother, they both gain a simple buff.

  • Added some more "trim vs trim" scenarios, like Wild vs Shaper, more Ward vs Silence, etc.

  • Improved the datapack removal function, and added confirmation(s)

  • A few more optimizations, but mainly when used on 1.20.3+

  • Resource pack updated to work with Wild's seperate damage type for the vine traps, instead of (once again) death being by "sweet berry bush"

  • And once again, more changes that I either forgot to mention, or were too small.

  • Added a function to make the datapack remove most of the data it can about itself from the world, and trim abilities are now enabled by default for players, with the "CheckOwned" command now part of setting "TrimOwners" to 2

  • Compatibility with 1.20.3 and 1.20.4 for both the datapack and resource pack, alongside a update to their descriptions and icons.

  • General optimizations everywhere, slightly increased with 1.20.3/1.20.4, while also removing more unused files from previous addon

  • Reduced the chances to "consume" gold depending on the amount, and halved the rate for Snout

  • Lower trade/raid amount when hitting/killing villagers, sentry now "focuses" on raiders, and gains some effect immunity with hero of the village. Wild will now permanently buff mobs while the set is worn.

  • Removed savannas from Dune task, added badland(s) to Coast task, lowered requirements for coast, spire, raiser and snout, and reduced the chance to gain Silence if another player is nearby. Wayfinder trim is now gained from just overworld structures, but the more you explore, the stronger it'll become.

  • Fixed deaths rarely not being detected, spire not gaining fall reduction, end-sounds being heard in the overworld, movement sometimes being detected inproperly, combat not being detected after dying, tidal trident dealing too little damage, and excess particles with netherite.

  • Lot more changes that I didn't put here to keep it short, were too short to mention, or I straight up forgot.

It should be completely stable as it has been used on a server before with seemingly no issues, but I did modify this datapack to no longer have the random changes used within said server.

The resource pack isn't required, but it is highly recommended for when players use custom materials.
