True Finals
Survive the ultimate test of skill. When the border closes in and the skies are filled with explosives, only the strongest PVPers will remain.
True Finals is a highly optimized datapack designed to host a SMP finale in a battle royale style. It brings a ton of features, like air drops, shrinking borders, falling explosives and much more...
How a match works
- Pre-game Lobby: Players wait while the admin uses a simple chat menu to hand out kits and start the countdown.
- The Drop: The game begins! Players drop into the map. From here on out, dying means you become a spectator.
- Border Shrink (200x200): The world border shrinks for the first time, forcing players closer together.
- Supply Drops: High-tier loot crates fall from the sky on custom parachutes. You can track them by looking for the smoke flares on the ground.
- Border Shrink (100x100): The border shrinks again to keep the action going.
- TNT Strikes (disabled by default): Explosives start tumbling down from the sky. They destroy the terrain and damage players, forcing everyone out of their hiding spots.
- Final Shrink (10x10): The border closes in completely for the final fights.
- Overtime (Sudden Death): If there is still no winner when the time runs out, the rules change. Every 30 seconds, a random event triggers to force a winner. This includes:
- Players swapping places
- Anvil rain
- Everyone's max health cut in half
- Getting teleported high into the sky
- Hostile mob swarms
- Global levitation, starvation, or blindness
Admin Menu
Admins can type /trigger tf_menu in chat to open an interactive control panel. The menu is split into 4 pages, giving you full control without typing any complex commands.
Page 1: Timeline Control
Control the flow of the match.
- Start Countdown: Starts the pre-game lobby timer.
- Start Immediately: Skips the lobby and starts the match right away.
- Stop & Clean: Instantly ends the game, removes the borders, and resets everything.
- Skip Phase: Skips the current timer (e.g. skips a border shrink or waiting period).
Page 2: Configuration
Adjust the rules and settings before the game starts.
- Set Center: Sets the middle of the arena and world border to where you are standing.
- Countdown Duration: Change the pre-game timer (1, 2, 3, 5, or 10 minutes).
- Toggle TNT: Turn the falling explosives on or off.
- Toggle Airdrop: Turn the mid-game loot crates on or off.
- Toggle Teleport: Choose if players get teleported back to the center after the game ends.
Page 3: Kits
Manage player inventories.
- Give Diamond / Netherite SMP Kit: Gives everyone a fully enchanted PvP kit.
- Clear All Gear: Wipes all items from everyone's inventory.
- Toggle Start Kit: Choose what kit players automatically receive when dropping into the map (None, Diamond, or Netherite).
Page 4: Debug Tools
Useful tools for testing the datapack before hosting a real event.
- Toggle Debug Mode: Shows technical timers and stats in the chat.
- Force Sudden Death: Skips everything and instantly starts Overtime.
- Spawn Airdrop / TNT Strike: Drops a single crate or explosive above your head to test it out.
- Trigger Random OT: Forces one random sudden death event to happen right now.
