Village Tether
Village Tether is a simple Minecraft datapack that lets you place leads on villagers, making villager transportation much easier and less annoying.
Moving villagers normally can be slow, frustrating, and awkward, especially when using boats, minecarts, or trying to push them into place. With this datapack, you can simply use a lead on a villager and guide them where you need them to go.
Features
- Allows villagers to be leashed with a lead.
- Makes transporting villagers faster and easier.
- Useful for moving villagers to trading halls, farms, bases, villages, or safe areas.
- Supports attaching leashed villagers to fences or walls.
- Includes a fallback command if fence attachment does not work normally.
How to Use
- Install the datapack in your world’s
datapacksfolder. - Run:
/reload
- Use a lead on a villager.
- Walk the villager to your desired location.
- Right-click a fence or wall to try attaching the villager there.
Fence Attachment Fallback
If the villager does not attach to the fence by right-clicking, look directly at the fence or wall and run:
/function leash_everything:attach_looked_at_fence
This will manually attach nearby leashed villagers to the fence or wall you are looking at.
Notes
- Make sure only one version of the datapack is installed at a time.
- Remove older versions before installing a new one.
- Designed for easier villager transportation and management.
