-Getting Started-
A quick explanation of how to locate the content in a Survival playthrough
To obtain all of the new items from the mod, the first thing you should do is find a Plains Village. Inside of these, there is a chance a villager will be replaced by a Cyclops Imposter. If you kill it, it has a chance to drop Emerald Apples, Negotiation Flasks, Emeralds, Emerald Blocks, and most importantly, a map to 1 of 2 new structures: A Jungle Enclave or an Ice Palace. These structures are full of powerful loot, but also dangerous monsters.
Other mobs only spawn naturally in certain biomes, so you will have to explore a Mushroom Fields/Mushroom Island to find Mushroom Cyclopes, the Outer End Islands to fight a Cyclops Mage, and Crimson Forests to be able to barter with Piglin Cyclopes.
-My Other Projects-
These mods may not all be updated to the latest version. All of these mods are owned and maintained by me.
Rainbows & Radium - Powerful new ores can be used to make customizable bombs, 128-slot barrels, a modular chest-locking system, Ender Pearls enchanted with infinity, Paxels, multi-use Totems, and more!
Savage Cyclopes - New Cyclops entities can be found across all 3 dimensions. Some are hostile, attacking you with poisonous darts or magic, while others are neutral or passive, bartering with or assisting you in your various adventures. Enticing rewards are granted to those who can defeat them.
Beastly Buggers - Unique and useful items can be obtained by facing new and difficult insects and arachnids, each with a unique spawn location to incentivize exploration. Increasing the challenge of Minecraft in fun and vanilla-friendly ways is the purpose of this mod.
Funky yet Functional - Adds a few silly new items, all of which have their own functionality, including spicy peppers that make you breathe fire, beans that let you fly via flatulence, and so much more!
Content & Features
In-depth explanation of every feature.
Items
Weapons
Poisonous Darts can be found in chests in Jungle Enclaves, and are also dropped by Cyclops Barrages. When thrown, they have a cooldown of half a second, and a max stack size of 16. They apply Poison 4 for 10 seconds when they hit an entity.
Frostbite Arrows Behave like normal arrows, but apply the “Frostbite” effect for 30 seconds. They can be crafted like a normal arrow, but with an Ice Shard replacing Flint.
By lining 2 logs (of any wood type) in the Crafting Table and placing Cyclops Leather in the center bottom slot and Iron Nuggets in the top four, you can craft a Heavy Club. This item has 1 more attack damage than a Netherite Axe and the attack speed of a Stone Axe. It can be enchanted with Bludgeoning, Breach, Unbreaking, and Mending.
Frigid Clubs are crafted the same way as Heavy Clubs, but use Ice instead of logs and Ice Shards instead of Iron Nuggets. They apply the “Frostbite” effect for 30 seconds. They have the same stats and enchantability as Heavy Clubs.
Foods
Diamond Apples are crafted by surrounding an Apple with 8 Diamonds in a Crafting Table. When consumed, they apply Strength 1 and Speed 1 for 30 seconds.
Unlike their Gold and Diamond counterparts, Emerald Apples cannot be crafted. They are only obtainable in chests in Jungle Enclaves and in Bundles dropped by Cyclops Imposters. When consumed, they grant an extra row of Absorption hearts for 1 minute (Absorption 4).
Netherite Apples can be crafted by upgrading a Diamond Apple with a Netherite Upgrade and a Netherite Ingot. Alternatively, they have a chance to be given by Pilgin Cyclopes. When consumed, they grant Resistance 2 for 1 minute.
By combining either Diamond and Golden Apples or Emerald and Netherite Apples in a shapeless recipe, Swirled Apples can be created. They grant the effects of both apples used to craft them.
Cheese can be crafted from a Bucket of Milk and Brown Fungal Powder. When consumed, it applies Saturation for 1 minute when consumed.
3 Bowls of Gelato can be crafted from 3 Bowls, Sweet Berries, Cocoa Beans, Sugar, 2 Ice Shards, and a Bucket of Milk. They have a 30% chance to grant Speed 1, Strength 1, and/or Regeneration 2 for 30 seconds.
Vitality Flasks can be obtained by killing a Cyclops Mage while it is healing. When drunk, they give an extra row of hearts (Health Boost 5) for 5 minutes. They leave a glass bottle behind.
Negotiation Flasks are found in Bundles dropped by Cyclops Imposters. They apply Hero of the Village 2 for 5 minutes.
Ingredients
Ice Shards can be found in barrels in Ice Palaces or dropped by Glacial Cyclopes. They are used to craft Ice Spikes, Ice Blocks, Gelato, and Frigid Clubs.
Red Fungal Powder and Brown Fungal Powder can be crafted from their respective Large Mushrooms. They are used to craft Cheese, Fungal Boosters, and Bug Repellent.
Dense Rotten Flesh can be found in barrels in Jungle Enclaves. They can be smelted into Cyclops Leather or eaten to restore 5 hunger points and apply Hunger 3 for 2 minutes.
Cyclops Leather can be acquired by killing Cyclops Brutes, Cyclops Barrages, or Cyclops Imposters, or from smelting Dense Rotten Flesh. It is used to make Heavy Clubs, Frigid Clubs, and Large Pouches.
Overgrowth is a new armor trim you can find in Jungle Enclaves. Fracture is another that can be found in Ice Palaces. Overgrowth can be duplicated with any kind of leaves, and Fracture can be duplicated with Ice Blocks.
Two new Music Discs (Tundra & Gilded, both by @T_en_M) can be found in Ice Palaces and by bartering with Piglin Cyclopes, respectively.
Utilities
Trading Charms are items that can be dropped by Cyclops Imposters. When used on a villager, that villager forgets all trade increases, restocks instantly, and instantly becomes a level 4 (Master) villager, unlocking all of its trades.
Mob Repellent can be crafted from a Glass Bottle, Sugar, and Brown Fungal Powder. When thrown, all arthropods, undead mobs, and creepers within a few blocks of the collision position will flee that position and ignore enemies for a few seconds.
You can craft Fungal Boosters with Red Fungal Powder, Gunpowder, and Paper. They boost you twice as fast as Firework Rockets when you are flying with an elytra.
Totems of Conjuring are dropped by Cyclops Mages. When used, they summon several Endermen who are immediately hostile towards entities that have recently damaged you.
Large Bundles have the functionality of bundles, and are crafted similarly, using Cyclops Leather as a substitute for Leather. They can hold 2 stacks of items instead of one, whether it’s 32 Ender Pearls or Snowballs, or 128 normal items. You can dye them Brown or Red using the correct color of Fungal Powder. Due to balancing reasons, Bundles, Large Bundles, and Shulker Boxes can NOT be inserted into Large Bundles.
Blocks
Gilded Obsidian can be bartered for with a Piglin Cyclops, or crafted with Obsidian and 4 Gold Ingots. It has the hardness of Obsidian.
Large Red Mushrooms and Large Brown Mushrooms can be acquired by shearing the correct variant of Mushroom Cyclops. They can be crafted into their corresponding color of Fungal Powder.
By crafting a row of 3 Iron Ingots beneath a row of 3 Ice Shards, Ice Spikes will be crafted. This block multiplies fall damage by 1.5, and when an entity steps on them they get the “Frostbite” effect for 30 seconds.
Piglin Cyclopes can be bartered with for Nether Sponges, a block that works similarly to Sponges. These blocks soak up lava in a nearby radius and turn into Filled Nether Sponges. When Filled Nether Sponges are mined, if the tool is enchanted with Silk Touch, they drop themselves. Otherwise, they drop normal Nether Sponges and place a Lava source block (both variants of Nether Sponges are lava- and fire-resistant like Netheriteso they won’t burn).
Mobs
Hostile Cyclopes
Cyclops Brutes spawn in Jungle Enclaves. They wield Heavy Clubs, have a TON of health, are VERY strong and fast, and (like all cyclopes) deflect projectiles. When killed, they drop 1-5 Cyclopes Leather and 0-6 Iron Nuggets.
Cyclops Barrages are also only found in Jungle Enclaves, but rather than chasing you down, they keep their distance and throw barrages (hence the name) of Poisonous Darts at you. They launch 6 darts over 0.75 seconds, and then pause for another second before launching another barrage. When killed, they drop 1-3 Cyclops Leather, 4-12 Poisonous Darts, and 0-2 Emeralds.
With the same attributes as Cyclopes Brutes, Glacial Cyclopes would be formidable enough, but they also apply the “Frostbite* effect when they attack you and have sharp spikes of ice on their backs, making them deal Thorns damage when attacked.
Neutral Cyclopes
Cyclops Imposters masquerade as Villagers, appearing in villages to exploit and rob them. They are passive by default, but if you attempt to trade with them or damage them, they reveal themselves and become hostile to you. When killed, they drop a Bundle that can contain the following items:
- 0 - 8 Emeralds
- 0 - 6 Emerald Blocks
- 0 - 3 Emerald Apples
- 0 - 2 Negotiation Flasks
- 0 - 1 Trading Charms
Cyclops Mages spawn infrequently in the end, and will not attack you unless you damage them first. When aggravated, they have three attacks: They will summon groups of Endermen who will become immediately hostile, they will apply Blindness, and they will launch you up about 50 blocks before pulling you toward the ground, dealing massive fall damage. When they have low health, they will stop attacking you and drink Vitality Flasks to heal themselves. When killed, they drop a Totem of Conjuring and have a chance to drop a Vitality Flask.
Passive Cyclopes
Spawning on Mushroom Islands, Mushroom Cyclopes can be sheared for Large Mushrooms and normal Mushrooms. If struck by lightning, a Red Mushroom Cyclops will turn into a Brown Mushroom Cyclops and a Brown Mushroom Cyclops will revert into a Red Mushroom Cyclops. When sheared, they can be Bonemealed to shorten the time it takes them to regrow their mushrooms.
Structures
Jungle Enclaves spawn infrequently in Jungles, Sparse Jungles, and Bamboo Jungles. They are filled with Cyclops Brutes and Cyclops Barrages (like, there is an insane number of them relative to the size of the structure). It generates stone paths branching out from a large central hall. The rest of the houses are made of Stone Bricks, Jungle Planks, or Packed Mud with Hay-Bale Roofs, and due to the decrepit state of most of the buildings, there are missing walls, half-crumbled spires, and fallen roofs. Because of the peril of entering one of these the loot is very valuable. Barrels and chests will spawn in several kinds of buildings, containing (among MANY other things) cooked foods, Cyclops Leather, Emerald Apples and Diamond Apples, Poisonous Darts, Bamboo, and Iron Nuggets. They are also the only way to obtain the new Tropic Thunder enchantment, as Enchanted Books with this enchantment in levels 1-3 can generate in some chests. Other chests are filled with EXTREMELY valuable items in blocks. They can have Diamonds, Emeralds, Gold and Iron Ingots, and Amethyst Shards, as well as the block forms of all of those items. When these chests are opened, the advancement “MONEY!!!” is granted.
In Tundras and some other cold biomes, Ice Palaces can be found. A central, triangular building is connected by underground tunnels to four towers that pierce high into the sky. Glacial Cyclopes are spawned in these structures, making them the only way to get Ice Shards, which are dropped by the Cyclopes and found in barrels. You can also find Diamonds, Snowballs, Cyclops Leather, Raw Rabbit, and the new Music Disc “Tundra” (By @T_en_M), plus MUCH more. The towers can have several different things inside them, from cake and diamonds to a villainous redstone contraption to kill villagers. WARNING - This structure has a trap that is VERY dangerous. If you want to know about it, you may look here. Otherwise: BEWARE!
Trap Spoiler
Right inside the entrance to the Ice Palace, there is a pit covered in Powder Snow that will drop you into a pit with a Glacial Cyclops standing on Dripstone Spikes. THIS IS VERY DANGEROUS - BE CAREFUL!!

How can I help?
I am currently just doing this as a hobby, so you cannot donate to me. However, if you find any issues or bugs, reporting the issues on the issue tracker would be extremely helpful. Also, to let me know that people are enjoying the mods I make, liking/following the mod would be greatly appreciated.
May I make a port of this mod?
No, you MAY NOT port this mod to a different modloader, a different Minecraft version, or a different platform. I worked very hard to concept, program, and publish this mod, and while I understand that the loader/version/platform of this mod might not suit everybody's wishes, I do not want anyone to make a port of this mod.
Currently, I try to keep all of my (unarchived) mods up-to-date with the latest version of Minecraft. Please be patient if the mod is not updated as soon as you like. I am probably working on it when I have time.
What Minecraft versions do you plan on updating/backporting this mod to?
I try to update the mod to the latest Minecraft version as soon as possible. When the mod itself gets updates like new features or content, only the latest version of Minecraft will receive that content. I do not plan on backporting this mod.
Where do you recommend I start learning how to mod?
I mostly taught myself, but I definitely used resources like Datapack Generators which is a useful tool for legibly creating .json files. Also, Modding by Kaupenjoe is a YouTube channel with EXTREMELY helpful tutorials about most aspects of modding Minecraft.
How do I install this mod?
First, download the Fabric Installer and the Fabric API. Put the Fabric API into your “mods” folder along with this one. Then, open the Minecraft Launcher and launch the game. (MAKE SURE that the Fabric Loader, Fabric API, and this mod are all the same version!)
