Valarian Conquest aims to enhance the overall feeling of combat and exploration in the overworld. It adds new factions, structures and mobs in an effort to make the world feel more alive, medieval and explorable. As of update 3.0 the mod now has numerous factions including the Valarians, Bohemians, Caladrians, Visgothians, Galicians, Numerians, Gardonians and Lancastians. The undead Draugr faction also exist and can typically be found guarding the fallen souls and treasure within burial chambers. Another important faction are Mercenaries. These soldiers are available in both melee and ranged variants and can be directly ordered, given patrol points, or remain stationary protecting from threats. These Mercenaries can be found throughout the world locked away as prisoners and once free can be helpful in both attacking and defense.
