AEI is an NEI clone. It has no cheat mode. It can only be used to view recipes.
You can press U on an item to see a list of recipes that the item is used in.
Press R on an item to view that item's recipes.
In a future update the auto craft button will actually work. I plan on adding mod support for Better Than Wolves and other mods. But no promises.
