Changes
0.5.5 CHANGELOG
✨ New Features & Visuals
- Added the Rusty Shield (fully supports banner patterns with a custom rust overlay), Rusty Lantern, Rusty Soul Lantern, and Rusty Chain. You can craft them or throw their vanilla counterparts into Infected Water.
- Added a search bar to the bottom of the Client and Server settings tabs. You can search for options by name, description, or even current values.
- Players now have custom footstep audio. You will hear proper Zombie, Skeleton, or Wither Skeleton footstep sounds depending on your current stage (also applies to normal players with Infection III).
- Entering Infected Water or standing on infected blocks now inflicts Poison and Nausea.
- Submerging vanilla mobs in Infected Water for 15 seconds will now cause them to violently shake and mutate (Zombies > Drowned, Husks > Zombies, Villagers > Zombie Villagers, Piglins > Zombified Piglins, and Horses > Zombie Horses).
- Rusty armor and tools can now be fully repaired in an anvil using Rusty Iron Ingots (or Infected Planks for the Rusty Shield).
⚖️ Balance Changes
- Killing a normal horse or a Zombie Horse as a Skeleton/Wither Skeleton player will now instantly resurrect it as a Skeleton Horse, preserving its equipped saddle and armor.
- Rusty Horse Armor now provides the exact same Thorns (infection/poison) counter-attack effect as player Rusty Armor.
- Blazes are now highly aggressive toward all undead player stages except Wither Skeletons, which they will now treat as neutral Nether allies.
🐛 Bug Fixes & Polish
- Fixed a bug where Drowned (and Frogs) would sink like rocks and fail to swim properly in Infected Water.
- Fixed a bug where zombie/skeleton player hurt sounds would incorrectly play even when successfully blocking an attack with a shield.
- Fixed the Rusty Iron Door not playing its metal open/close sound when activating the top half.
- You can now properly attach leads to Zombie and Skeleton Horses without triggering rearing/bucking animations.
- Added a new "Fade Tint in Creative/Spectator" toggle in the Client tab. Reorganized the Server tab to include a new "Mountable/Tamable Mobs" category.
- Fixed various incorrect translations across multiple languages.
Projects on Modrinth are automatically available through a Maven repository for use with JVM build tools such as Gradle. To learn more about the Modrinth Maven API, click here.
Note: When available, you should use the creator's maven repo instead as it will have transitive dependency information that the Modrinth Maven API does not. You may also end up with duplicate dependencies if you use a mix of Modrinth and non-Modrinth Maven repositories for your dependencies, because the group identifier will be different when served through the Modrinth Maven API.
