2.3.0
27 reports from github, discord and curseforge. The 5 I couldn't fix are on the issue tracker.
New
- Minecraft 26.3 on Forge. 52 builds now, that was the last one missing. Server tested, not client tested yet.
- Terrain mod support. Tectonic, Terralith, Biomes O' Plenty, all of them. 5 mobs had their spawn
height hardcoded so they stopped spawning once a terrain mod moved the ground. New options:
flutterSpawnHeight, cockroachSpawnHeight, flyMinSpawnHeight, orcaMinSpawnHeight, hammerheadSharkMinSpawnHeight. Defaults are the old values so nothing changes unless you want it to.
Fixed
- 26.3 NeoForge crashed on making a new world. Built against the wrong NeoForge, needs 26.3.0.101 now.
- Anacondas didn't slither on 1.21.2+ and didn't move at all in water.
- Anacondas scrunched up and sprang open instead of going anywhere. That one's been there since the original mod.
- Anacondas near water pushed their body into the floor while the head stayed on the surface.
- Baby anacondas had a baby head on a full size body.
- Mimicubes duplicated items. Stacks, shulker boxes, modded backpacks.
mimicubeDropsCopiedGearif you want the old behaviour. - Potoos kept their flying pose after landing on a branch or leaves.
- Hostile mobs ignored Peaceful on 1.21.9+. All 16 of them kept spawning and living there.
- Stradpoles and skreechers were in the wrong mob category. Messed with mob caps and spammed a warning, also in Regions Unexplored and Biomes O' Plenty biomes.
- Seals logged a loot table error every time they gave you something. Same loot, no error.
- The Issues link in the mod list and on the store pages went nowhere.
/amc config setsaid the spawn height options need a world reload. They don't.- Terrapins, platypuses, seals and orcas drowned under an overhang, a boat or ice. They only started looking for air with 7 seconds left and only looked straight up. Now they start a minute out and look around.
- Sit / follow / wander broke on tamed mobs if you had another pet mod installed. All 13 tameable mobs.
geladaMonkeySpawnHeightdid nothing at all. It'sgeladaMonkeyMinSpawnHeightnow and it works.- Reported again but already fixed: comb jelly texture, hummingbird feeder, the
redomesticatedata, stuck in safe mode on 26.3, and the orca that spins and dies. Just update. - Tectonic needed nothing. It moves terrain but adds no biomes, so mobs already spawned fine. Ran them together on 26.3 to check.
Asked a lot
- Mimic octopus goes in a bucket, but tame it with lobster tails first.
- Triops eggs: breed two tamed triops with carrots. Ghostly pickaxe: drops from the Underminer. Neither has a recipe so no recipe viewer will show one.
- Mimic octopus and anaconda are meant to be rare.
mimicOctopusSpawnWeight,anacondaSpawnWeight. - Any mob's
...SpawnWeightat 0 turns it off. Seagulls too. - Warped mosquito doesn't come from spawning a mungus. A crimson mosquito has to drink from a mungus
that ate 5 warped fungus, so it has to be in the Nether. Or put another mob in
warpedMoscoMobTriggers. Mungus only spawn in mushroom fields, raisemungusSpawnWeightthere. - No fennec foxes in this mod.
- Config is
config/alexsmobs.jsonand/amcin game. The original mod's config doesn't carry over, that's also why Mod Menu shows nothing. - 3 discord reports (primitive club star, Lico Witch staff, submarine camera) were Alex's Caves Continued. Moved them there.
Needs CodxLib 1.6.0 or newer. Fabric also needs Fabric API.
Projects on Modrinth are automatically available through a Maven repository for use with JVM build tools such as Gradle. To learn more about the Modrinth Maven API, click here.
Note: When available, you should use the creator's maven repo instead as it will have transitive dependency information that the Modrinth Maven API does not. You may also end up with duplicate dependencies if you use a mix of Modrinth and non-Modrinth Maven repositories for your dependencies, because the group identifier will be different when served through the Modrinth Maven API.
