Anchor Optimizer!

This mod handles respawn anchor interactions client-side, so charging and blowing up anchors isn't held back by your ping.

Information

By default, the client waits for the server before it shows anything happening to an anchor. On high ping that means a delayed charge sound and an anchor that stays in place after you've already set it off.

This optimizer plays the charge sound the moment you add glowstone, and removes the anchor along with the glowstone around it as soon as you blow it up, instead of waiting for the server. The server still handles the real explosion and its damage.

Server Opt-Out

On servers using popular anti-cheats, such as Grim or Vulkan, it's unlikely for Anchor Optimizer to flag. However, if your server has reports of Anchor Optimizer causing flags or you don't want your player base using the mod, you can switch it off for your players.

Anchor Optimizer uses WalksyLib's server opt-out, so install the WalksyLibControl plugin (Spigot, Paper and Folia, 1.20.5+) and run:

/wlcontrol disable anchoroptimizer
or
/wlcontrol disablewithreason anchoroptimizer "Anchor Optimizer is not allowed on this server"
