# Information Another Nextbot Mod is a quick shitpost mod made to test rendering Nextbot entities, slippery entity physics, and for a friend who was using them in a map. The mod is very small with only a few nextbots, and I don't see myself updating it in the future, but you never know. Speaking of, this is an entirely solo project made in the span of 4-ish days with "positive" reception from the people I showed it to cough cough The mod does contain datapack support that allows you to add custom nextbot variants with their own goofy audio incase you get sick of the ones we have added by default, you can find more on this in the Datapack Support section below I have no rules for custom nextbots, however. I would highly appreciate not using AI generated content for custom nextbots, I am a highly anti AI creator and every line of code in this mod was written by hand. Respecting this wish will make me respect you a little more

How to make your own Nextbot variant

While coded in 4 days, the mod does contain data-driven Nextbot variants, which includes PNG, sound, and speed. To get started, in your datapack folder create a folder called `generic_nextbot_variant`, in your `/generic_nextbot_variant/` directory, create a new JSON file and give it the name of your variant, the JSON file should look as the following: ```json { // Your Nextbot sound and texture, use a resourcepack for custom assets "assets": { "sound": ":entity.nextbot.my_custom_nextbot", "texture": ":entity/nextbot/my_custom_nextbot" }, // The language file entry for your Nextbot, this will be displayed in chat and on the death message "name": "entity..my_custom_nextbot", // The spawn conditions, typically you'd want to leave this as is "spawn_conditions": [ { "priority": 0 } ], // The Nextbot speed, by default this is 0.3, Sanic uses 0.75 and Angry Munci uses 1.98, however any value is acceptable, though most of the time you won't wanna go past 1.0 "speed": 0.3 } ``` The textures, sounds, and name can use any resource from either Vanilla Minecraft, other mods, or your own custom resource pack, the last one gives you more control but it is fun to mess with other mods assets and turn them into nextbots (Nobody does that, not even me) Nextbot textures in the mod are 128x128 pixels, however I haven't tested smaller or bigger resolutions than this
