Assorted Boomerangs

Throw a boomerang and it flies out, hits whatever gets in its way and comes right back to you. Anything it flies over on the way gets carried back too.

Features

  • Right click to throw. It flies out about 10 blocks, then turns around and comes back to you.
  • The wood boomerang is made from planks. The diamond boomerang is made from a wood boomerang and diamonds, and it flies out about 15 blocks and hits harder.
  • It hurts any mob it flies through and keeps going.
  • It picks up items it flies over and brings them back with it.
  • It bounces off walls and the ground on the way out, and on the way back it flies straight to you, even through walls.
  • It flips levers and presses buttons, so you can hit a switch from across the room. It comes straight back after.
  • Throw it from your off hand and it comes back to your off hand.

Config

These are in the assortedboomerangs-common config file.

  • boomerangs.woodBoomerangRange and boomerangs.diamondBoomerangRange are how many blocks each one flies out before it turns around. 10 and 15 by default.
  • boomerangs.woodBoomerangDamage and boomerangs.diamondBoomerangDamage are how much damage each one does. 1 and 5 by default.
  • boomerangs.diamondBoomerangFollows makes the diamond boomerang follow where you're looking. Off by default.
  • boomerangs.turnAroundItem and boomerangs.turnAroundMob make boomerangs come back as soon as they pick up an item or hit a mob. Off by default.
  • boomerangs.breaksTorches and boomerangs.breaksPlants let boomerangs break torches, and plants and other weak blocks. Off by default.
  • boomerangs.hitsButtons lets boomerangs press buttons and flip levers. On by default.
  • boomerangs.turnAroundButton makes boomerangs come back after they hit a button or lever. On by default.

Updating from Assorted Tools 11.x

Worlds made with Assorted Tools 11.x keep everything when you switch to this mod. Don't install it beside Assorted Tools 11.x.

Requirements

Boomerangs also comes in Assorted Tools with the other Tools mods, if you'd rather have them all in one download.
