AttributesFix
AttributesFix is a Minecraft mod designed to address the artificial limitations imposed by the vanilla attribute system. Attributes like maximum health, movement speed, and attack damage are essential for gameplay balance, but Mojang has set hard limits on these values. AttributesFix lifts these restrictions, allowing for a more flexible and expansive gameplay experience.
This mod is inspired by the original AttributeFix but is built from the ground up to be fully compatible with the latest Minecraft versions. While it functions similarly, AttributesFix is a completely independent implementation that doesn't reuse any code from the original mod. I am not intending to step on any toes, so when the original author updates this will no longer be updated.
Features
- Expanded Attribute Limits: Significantly increases the maximum and minimum limits of key attributes such as health, movement speed, attack damage, and more.
- Vanilla Compatibility: This mod does not alter vanilla gameplay but rather extends the potential for mods and custom setups to utilize higher attribute values.

FAQ
How do I change the attributes of a player or mob?
AttributesFix modifies the underlying system to expand attribute limits but does not directly alter the attributes of any specific entity. If you want to modify attributes for players or mobs, you can use Minecraft's built-in commands, datapacks, or other mods designed for this purpose. AttributesFix is solely focused on lifting the system's limitations.
Why does higher armor not block more damage?
Expanding an attribute's limit does not inherently change the game's mechanics or formulas that use those attributes. For example, the vanilla damage calculation formula caps armor effectiveness at around 25, despite the vanilla limit being 30. Similarly, the armor bar on the HUD only displays up to 20 points, even if your armor value exceeds that.
If you're looking to modify how damage is calculated or how the HUD displays armor, you'll need additional mods. These mods may require compatibility with AttributesFix to function correctly.
