AutoFish is a tiny client-side helper that takes the repetition out of fishing.
Usage
- Equip a fishing rod in your main hand and stand at the edge of water.
- Press O to toggle AutoFish on. The action bar shows
AutoFish: ON. - Look at the water and let the mod take over - it will cast the rod, watch the bobber, reel in the moment a fish bites, and cast again.
- Press O again to turn it off.
How it works
AutoFish watches the bobber's downward velocity. The vanilla bite animation pulls the bobber straight down for a few ticks; the mod catches that velocity dip, triggers the same right-click your hand would have used, and then waits a short cooldown before casting again. No mixins, no packet spoofing - only the same actions a human player would perform.
Notes
- Designed for singleplayer. Many multiplayer servers block auto-fishing in their rules; check before using.
- Works with any fishing rod, including enchanted and Luck-of-the-Sea variants.
- Toggles off automatically if you swap to a non-rod item, walk away, or open a screen.
Compatibility
- Minecraft 1.21.8 - 1.21.11
- Fabric + Fabric API
- Client-only, safe to drop in your mods folder on a vanilla server.
