Since its addition to the game, the Sniffer is always a creature that is rarely remembered. To address this issue and enhance the gameplay experience with the Sniffer, we need to make minor enhancements to its mechanics. This mod is part of the collection "Qa balance adjustments for vanilla".
Typically, the Sniffer "sniffs out" one Torchflower Seed or Pitcher Plant Pod from nearby dirt-type blocks every 8 minutes. Even setting aside the practicality of Torchflower Seeds and Pitcher Plant Pods, the 8-minute cooldown alone is enough to make most players—who value a proportional return on their investment—lose interest in the Sniffer, except when pursuing achievements.
Now, the Sniffer’s cooldown time has been decreased to an average of 3 minutes. Furthermore, the Sniffer will drop different items depending on the biome it is in and the type of block beneath it—some of these dropped items are extremely rare.

本模组中,嗅探兽的冷却时间下调至平均值在 3 分钟左右。此外,根据嗅探兽所处的生物群系以及其脚下方块的类型不同,它还会产出不同的物品,其中有些掉落物极其稀有。
