Better Hardcore is a Forge mod designed to make your hardcore exprience harder than Vanilla. It overhauls vanilla mechanics, empowers mobs, and fixes overpowered exploits to bring the balance back into your Minecraft world.

📦 Installation & Compatibility

Requires Forge. Safe to use in modpacks!

Can be installed on dedicated servers (clients must have it installed too).

🍎 Food changes

Health regeneration from food is now slower.

🛡️ Armored & Enchanted Enemies

Zombies and Skeletons have a significantly higher chance of spawning fully equipped with armor and high-level enchantments.

🧪 Empowered Monsters

Zombies, Skeletons and Endermen can now spawn with permanent powerful effects to ruin your day.

🌟 Totem of Undying

The Totem of Undying now has a full in-game day cooldown after use. However, you can instantly reset this cooldown by sleeping in a bed.

🦇 Armor-Piercing Phantoms

Phantom bites now completely bypass your armor and inflict Poison upon hitting you.

🛏️ Sleep Penalty

If you go to sleep with critically low health , you will wake up with a Blindness effect.

📚 Balanced Villager Trading

The minimum price for any Enchanted Book is strictly locked to 16 Emeralds, no matter how many times you cure a Zombie Villager or if you have the Hero of the Village effect.

🔮 Enchantment

The Enchanting Table now consumes more XP levels when enchanting items.

🛠️ Fixed some auto-farms

Iron golems now drop only iron nuggets when killed by non-player entities.

Silverfish no longer drop experience.
