Biodiverse

Biodiverse adds 26 new animals to minecraft that spawn in a variety of different biomes.   Animals:

Info for some mobs:

Cassowary: Lays an egg once a day that can be cooked.

Cheetah: Can be tamed using raw meat. A tamed cheetah can be fed meat to give the player a short speed affect.

Crab: Can drop a crab claw. When the claw is held in the off-hand, the players buildreach is extended.

Hippo: Can drop a hippo tooth, which can be crafted into a dagger which has a lower reload time.

Musk Ox: Can be sheared to drop qiviut, which can craft qiviut blocks that can be converted into wool. Can also be used to craft a cap which gives the player speed when walking ontop of snow.

Oryx: Can drop its horn which can be used to craft a sword.

Ostrich: Can be tamed using melons. Ostrich can be ridden and do not sink when being ridden through water.

Poison Dart Frog: When killed, they drop a frog item which can be crafted with a slime to make poison slime. Poison slime can be used to make poisonous potions or used to craft a dart, using a feather, poison slime, and a stick. A dart tranquilizes any animal for a few seconds. Darts can be shot from blowguns, which are crafted with 2 bamboo and string.

Rhinoceros: Rhinos are aggressive against humanoid hostile mobs such as illagers and zombies. They can be tamed using wheat and ridden. Rhino armor can be obtained from armorer villagers and gives Rhinos resistance.
