-BLIGHT-

A part of the world that decays and rots in the forgotten lands, life form which corrupts and mutates over time. Blight is an industrial/decay-themed decor mod inspired by the mod befoul by Luxintrus.

This mod adds various decorations and utils related to the theme (i.e. rot, decay, corruption), for example we have:

  • ◼️ Blackened Iron (new material required to craft all newly added blocks)
  • 🏭 Mesh blocks, stairs, and flooring (Grate like blocks, industrial looking blocks)
  • 💡 Black lanterns (new lantern blocks)
  • 🔥 Burnt Grass (A grass type block obtained after extinguishing fire on top of a grass block)

Aim

This mod aims in adding various decoration blocks and an intersting way of obtaining them. As most of the decor or furniture mods do is just adding some sofas and lamps (mainly) which are just crafted using vanilla blocks, This mod in other hand adds new ores and materials to play with, like the Blackened iron, which is obtained by putting iron into a blast furnace and wich is also an root material for most of the blocks in the game right now. Adding decorational and furniture blocks which make an decayed, rotten, and an industrial environment, while making an interesting experience obtaining them.

Future plans

For the time being, this mod doesnt add much, but in the future I plan on adding much more content and interesting features, for example:

  • Burnt grass will have a more dynamic use, like an whole wast land biome with this burnt grass and burnt trees, and a new tree and wood type is expected, which yes you guessed it Burnt Wood. And burnt grass spreading near lava lakes.
  • Black lantern right now only has two types, the glowstone and pink froglight. In the future black lantern will be an item when placed places an non-illuminating black lantern, when you right click it, opens a menu where you can put four different materials in a slot, the glowstone dust and all the three froglight varients, which will turn the black lantern luminated depending on the material used, if putting glowstone into the lantern, it uses the glowstone dust over time, and no glowstone or redstone lamp cannot be used.
  • More industrial blocks like the Mesh blocks, like an railing and broken glass panes.
  • And many more interesting features

This mod is WIP and made using MCreator, expected bugs can occur. This mod will be remade from scratch using manual scripting and will be added with interesting features soon.
