Blockgame+ 1.19.0
A big Map & quality-of-life update - smarter maps, a death waypoint, an item counter, and a pile of fixes.
β¨ New
- Death waypoint - when you die, a red Death marker drops at your last spot on the map and minimap so you can run back for your stuff. Works in any dimension, survives relogs, and clears itself when you return (or right-click it on the map, or
/bgplus death clear). Toggle in Settings -> Map. - Inventory item tracker - a HUD counter for items you want to keep an eye on (gathering quotas, keys, ammo, anything). Hold an item and run
/bgplus track(or bind the keybind) to add it; drag and scale the widget in the layout editor./bgplus track listand/bgplus track clearround it out. - See-through water and glass on the map - underwater and under-glass structures now show on the map, with water keeping a depth-based blue tint so it still reads as water. On by default; re-walk an area to update tiles you've already captured.
- Marker size and colors - a Marker size slider in Settings -> Map sizes every map and minimap pin, and you can right-click any legend row on the map to recolor that category through a palette (right-click past the end to go back to the default).
- Player arrow color and size - the "you are here" arrow on the map and minimap is now fully customizable - pick its color and size in Settings -> Map.
- Chunk grid - an optional faint 16x16 chunk grid over the map and minimap (Settings -> Map). Auto-hides when you zoom too far out.
- Looted chests stay open - booty chests you've already opened render with their lid up, so you can spot the looted ones at a glance without walking over. Toggle in Settings -> Booty Tracker.
- Chunk coords readout - a top-of-screen readout of your position within the current chunk (0-15 each axis) for lining up sunken chests (the "9 9" trick) without opening F3. Settings -> Map.
- Party member count toggle - show or hide the
(N)next to your party name in the Party HUD header. - Map chunk hover-highlight - hovering the fullscreen map highlights the chunk cell under your cursor.
- Hide vanilla effect icons - optional toggle to clear the vanilla status-effect icons from the top-right of the HUD (Settings -> General).
- Structure marker distance hiding - optionally hide structure markers once you get close (clears on approach, like a route waypoint) and/or beyond a far limit to declutter. Settings -> Structures.
- Pickup widget - an optional HUD widget that shows the items you just picked up and fades them out after a configurable delay. Drag/scale it in the layout editor; turn it on in Settings -> Pickup Widget.
- Chat emotes - type shortcuts like
,:lenny:,:tableflip:and they expand when you send. Run/bgplus emotesfor the full list. - Custom marker icons - drop a PNG named after a category (e.g.
Tower.png) intobgplus/marker-icons/and it replaces that category's dot on the map and minimap./bgplus map reloadiconsafter adding files. - Send feedback -
/bgplus feedbackopens a quick suggestion / bug-report box that goes straight to the Blockgame+ team. - Lifetime coins leaderboard - a new "Lifetime coins" board (on bgplus.ca/leaderboard) tracking total coins collected over time, not just your current balance.
π Fixes
- Party relay is far more reliable - the live health sync could silently die (a network blip or idle timeout) and just stop updating, leaving teammates stuck on "out of range" with no warning. It now runs a heartbeat, detects a dead connection, and reconnects on its own - and the HUD shows "syncing" while it reconnects instead of a misleading "out of range".
- Tutorial no longer pops up every relog - the new-player Guide now only starts when you actually begin Blockgame's tutorial quest, not on every join.
- Myrk resets clear properly, even off-schedule - on a map reset (including early/unscheduled Myrk restarts) your old booty, structures, supply, and terrain tiles all clear themselves when you next enter Myrk.
/bgplus map clearwaypointsnow also wipes supply drops and your Myrk custom waypoints (home/town waypoints are kept). - Missing stats now show correctly - Healing Power, Gathering Speed, Durability Resilience, Hunger and several damage stats weren't recognized by the tooltips, so they showed no
%or roll quality. They're all in now. - Minimap text stays on-screen - long biome names no longer clip off the edge when the minimap is moved to the other side of the screen.
Projects on Modrinth are automatically available through a Maven repository for use with JVM build tools such as Gradle. To learn more about the Modrinth Maven API, click here.
Note: When available, you should use the creator's maven repo instead as it will have transitive dependency information that the Modrinth Maven API does not. You may also end up with duplicate dependencies if you use a mix of Modrinth and non-Modrinth Maven repositories for your dependencies, because the group identifier will be different when served through the Modrinth Maven API.
