Blockgame+ 1.17.0
The big waypoint cleanup, two whole mods absorbed, and a faster community backend — everything lives on the in-game map now.
⚠ If you have the standalone Blockgame Profiles or Blockgame Tooltips mods installed, remove their jars — both are now built into Blockgame+ and the old copies will conflict.
✨ New
- Talent profiles — the Talents screen is now a full build manager: save unlimited stat profiles and switch between them with one click (reset + reallocation handled automatically). Sidebar lists your builds, a yellow
!marks any profile spending fewer points than you currently have, and a preview mode lets you experiment client-side with live aggregated bonus totals before saving. Quick-click leveling works without making a profile at all. A small current build HUD widget shows which profile you're running. (Replaces the Blockgame Profiles mod.) - Item stat tooltips — Blockgame items hide their true stat rolls in the item data: hold Ctrl on any item to see exact values, each with a colored
[%]showing how good the roll is; Ctrl+Shift shows the known[min – max]ranges. Ranges are learned from every item you see — just opening a chest records everything in it — and connected players pool their observations, so everyone's tooltips sharpen as anyone plays. (Replaces the Blockgame Tooltips mod.) - Exploration route, actually useful now — the route draws on the minimap too, with a next-stop readout (name, distance, direction arrow) under it, plus a floating go-here-next marker in the world. A new [Focus] link on the map beelines for the nearest waypoints of a chosen category (say, Supply Drops), only grabbing waypoints close to the path. Right-click the map to drop a destination pin — the route paths straight to that exact spot and clears itself when you arrive.
🔧 Improvements
- Waypoints reworked — booty chests, structures, and supply drops now live entirely on the in-game map and minimap: instant, no rejoin needed, no Xaero required. Weekly resets are automatic — when Myrk collapses on Friday, last week's waypoints just disappear (no archive prompt, no command). Prefer Xaero?
/bgplus xaero exportsnapshots the map's waypoints into Xaero's set (also a button in Settings → Booty Tracker); old Blockgame+ waypoints are swept out of Xaero automatically on first join. - Community backend upgraded — all community features (shared waypoints, leaderboards, loot records, stat ranges) now run on the bgplus.ca server instead of a Google spreadsheet. Bulk uploads that used to take ages finish instantly. Nothing to do on your end: your token keeps working and the mod switches over by itself.
- Minimap zoom — can zoom out twice as far as before.
- Settings tidy-up — Fetch guide content and the What's New feed toggles moved from the Map tab to General, where they belong.
🐛 Fixes
- Loot list inflation — reopening a chest no longer re-counts its contents; using a booty chest as short-term storage was inflating the loot list (goodbye, 1000 sand). Each chest counts once per Myrk cycle (once per run in dungeons).
- Doubled markers — fixed duplicate pins when the structure scanner and a booty chest found the same building.
- Structure names — opening chests at a scanner-identified structure no longer wipes its name off the map; the old chest-pattern guesser is gone entirely.
- Removed: the weekly archive prompt + keybind, the explore-set command, and a pile of Xaero-only settings — use the map's own legend filters and Hide visited instead.
Projects on Modrinth are automatically available through a Maven repository for use with JVM build tools such as Gradle. To learn more about the Modrinth Maven API, click here.
Note: When available, you should use the creator's maven repo instead as it will have transitive dependency information that the Modrinth Maven API does not. You may also end up with duplicate dependencies if you use a mix of Modrinth and non-Modrinth Maven repositories for your dependencies, because the group identifier will be different when served through the Modrinth Maven API.
