Changes
Blockgame+ 1.18.0
The big one - item tooltips return redesigned, a new-player tutorial, shared waypoints, gear comparison, and a pile of map polish.
β¨ New
- Item stat tooltips are back, rebuilt - Blockgame hides items' true stat rolls in the item data. Each stat now gets a colored
[%]roll-quality chip right on the item; hold Ctrl for the full panel (exact values, roll-quality bars, and an overall "this rolled 84% - Great" verdict) in a tidy side box; hold Ctrl+Shift for the known[min - max]ranges and any unrolled stats. Rune- and corruption-aware: it shows the item's true base roll with rune bonuses and corruption broken out separately, so you always know what the gear actually rolled. Ability variables (damage, cooldown, etc.) get ranges too. Ranges sharpen as the community plays. - Gear comparison - hold Alt over any item to compare it against what you've got equipped, with green/red per-stat deltas. Pin an item (default
B) to compare two arbitrary pieces. - New-player tutorial - a friendly Guide layers over Blockgame's own tutorial quest: a dialogue box explains each step and waypoints point you to the tricky spots (like that Forge everyone gets lost finding). Turns itself off once you've finished. Replay with
/bgplus tutorial start. - Share waypoints with the community - right-click one of your own map waypoints β "Share to community". Other players see it on their map as a purple "Shared" marker. Toggle it off to un-share.
- Right-click waypoint menu - right-click anywhere on the map to add a named waypoint, set a travel destination, or (on a waypoint) travel to it, show it in-world, share it, or delete it. Right-click any booty/structure/supply marker to delete it from your map.
- Show waypoints in the world - custom waypoints can float in the world as a name + distance marker you can run toward with no map open.
π§ Improvements
- Minimap is on by default now, and you can resize it by scrolling over it in the HUD Layout Editor.
- Talent builds: delete a saved profile by hovering it and clicking the red β; the profile list scrolls so "New profile" is always reachable no matter how many builds you have.
- Map: texture-accurate colors are on by default for a prettier, consistent shared map, plus a new capture-interval setting to tune how fast the map keeps up with you.
- The exploration route line got a black border + solid core (much easier to see, especially for colour-blind players), and waypoint markers shrink at far zoom so the whole-world view stays readable.
π Fixes
- Last week's waypoints surviving a reset - booty and structure waypoints from a despawned Myrk world could linger on the map. They're now cycle-filtered at every layer and can't show after the weekly reset. New
/bgplus map clearwaypointsclears them manually if needed (separate from/bgplus map reset, which clears terrain tiles). - Lines in the ocean - the team map no longer paints faint grid lines across open water (a biome-blend artifact at chunk edges); water keeps its warm/cold color variation, just without the seams. Affects newly explored areas.
- Various polish across the map, tooltips, and talent screens.
Projects on Modrinth are automatically available through a Maven repository for use with JVM build tools such as Gradle. To learn more about the Modrinth Maven API, click here.
Note: When available, you should use the creator's maven repo instead as it will have transitive dependency information that the Modrinth Maven API does not. You may also end up with duplicate dependencies if you use a mix of Modrinth and non-Modrinth Maven repositories for your dependencies, because the group identifier will be different when served through the Modrinth Maven API.
