Bloxy's Structures
An adventure mod for Minecraft. Light a coal-block portal and step into the Adventure Realm: plains of giant animals and four new woods, illager castles held by trial spawners, sky islands, and the cow-folk Cowlins. Explore over 200 hand-built structures, and take on five bosses for the weapons they guard.
At a glance
| Dimension | The Adventure Realm, with room to build from y −128 up to 511 |
| Structures | 200+ hand-built pieces, from Cowlin camps to castles in the sky |
| Bosses | Five, each fought for a weapon or a rare enchantment |
| Creatures | Cowlins, Whalkyrs, Treemoos, golems, and the Mothership's quantum guard |
| Weapons | Bloxy's Scythe / Arm of Shadows / Shield of Inferno / Life Trident |
| Blocks | Four wood families and four mushroom blocks that each do something underfoot |
The Adventure Realm
One biome, Adventure Realm Plains, stretches across the realm. Its forests grow four new woods, Loreo, Mjin, Verdant and Xiza, each a full family of logs, wood and their stripped forms, planks, leaves, stairs, slabs, fences, gates, doors, trapdoors, pressure plates, buttons, signs, hanging signs, boats and chest boats. Joining a world unlocks their recipes.
Its giant mushrooms come in four colours, and each does something:
| Mushroom block | Underfoot |
|---|---|
| Green | Bounces you up and cancels fall damage |
| Purple | Poisons you for 3 seconds |
| Yellow | Lets you walk faster |
| Blue | Glows at full brightness |
Born bigger. Animals born in the realm come out giant: sniffers two to five times their size, frogs and rabbits four to six, chickens and goats two to four, wolves two to three (in a random coat), cows and pigs two to two and a half, wardens double. Illagers vary a little, and undead spawned below y 0 wear leather and iron. Mobs that walk in through a portal keep their size.
Creatures
| Creature | Temperament | |
|---|---|---|
| Cowlin | Neutral | Cow-folk in copper gear; see [The Cowlins] |
| Whalkyr | Passive | A flying whale that cruises high over the plains. Ride it; it follows bread and carrots, and breeds with them |
| Treemoo | Passive | Shear it for saplings (birch, oak, spruce or cherry); they grow back after two minutes |
| Adventure Realm Golem | Passive | Bolts when hurt; may drop a carved pumpkin and seeds |
| Quantum Mage | Hostile | Fires orbs of Purple Poison. Guards the Mothership |
| Quantum Guardian | Hostile | Poisons anyone who comes close. Guards the Mothership |
| Void Walker | Hostile | Teleports to the player it hunts. On the Mothership and in the underground ruins |
| Igris's shadows | Hostile | Summoned by [Igris] in his fight, and gone soon after |
The Cowlins
The realm's outposts and camps belong to the Cowlins: cow-folk with copper spears, swords, axes, crossbows and bows, and Brutes who guard behind real shields. They stay neutral until provoked, by a hit or by opening or breaking the chests and barrels they guard. Squads of them roam the realm behind a captain with a banner and a horn, hunt its giant pigs, chickens and rabbits, and dance over the kill. A calm Cowlin trades its wares for a copper ingot.
Structures
Trial spawners run through most of the realm's structures, and pay out the realm's own rewards; chests hold its loot table: armor trims, golden and enchanted golden apples, enchanted gear and books, trial keys, and rarities like a heavy core.
| Structure | Where | What you find |
|---|---|---|
| Ruined Adventure Realm Portal | Overworld plains, sunflower plains and meadows | Coal blocks and a chest: the way in |
| The realm's surface sites | Across the plains, often | 24 illager castles held by trial spawners; the arenas of the [Prince of Darkness], the [Mushroom King] and the [Inferno Hydra]; [Igris]'s deepslate castle; Cowlin outposts and camps; a ruined battle tower, colosseum and watchtower; towering monoliths |
| Sky islands | Floating between y 48 and 288 | Sentinel islands, floating houses, a pond, a village, a ship and a floating planet; rarest of all, [Bloxy]'s Mothership, guarded by Quantum Mages, Quantum Guardians and Void Walkers |
| Battle Tower | On the surface | A stack of battle rooms, each with its trial spawner |
| Catacombs | Down from a surface entrance | A crypt network; every room has a trial spawner |
| Forgotten Ruins | Down a shaft | Rooms of trial spawners, ending in a vault, an arena or a throne room |
| Underground Structure | Deep underground | Ruins and an underground battle tower, Void Walkers among their spawners |
| Ancient City | Deep underground | The ancient city, built in the realm |
| Illager Village | On the surface | A taiga village |
Bosses
Altars
Four bosses wait behind an altar in their arena. Look at one and a panel tells you who it summons: the boss's name, a skull rating out of five, a turning portrait, and its health, armor and damage range at your difficulty. Right-click it with an empty hand to summon. The altar is spent: it becomes an empty Altar, and altars cannot be crafted or broken for drops.
Bosses cannot exist on Peaceful: they vanish the moment they appear, and the altar is used up all the same.
| Boss | Where | Health | Armor | Damage on Normal | Skulls | Drops |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| [Inferno Hydra] | Its coliseum, among the surface sites | 200 | 2 | 2-6 | 2 / 5 | Shield of Inferno |
| [Mushroom King] | His arena, among the surface sites | 320 | 3 | 4-7 | 3 / 5 | Purple Poison book |
| [Prince of Darkness] | His arena, among the surface sites | 350 | 4 | 6–8 | 4 / 5 | Arm of Shadows |
| [Bloxy] | The Mothership's deck, in the sky | 400 | 5 | 5-9 | 5 / 5 | Bloxy's Scythe |
| [Igris] | His deepslate castle (no altar) | 250 | 8 | 4-5 | none | Life Trident |
Inferno Hydra
A winged, three-headed hydra that circles its coliseum raining fireballs, then dives to crash into the arena floor. Leaving the arena does not save you: it follows, up to 128 blocks from home.
Mushroom King
He fights in three stances, green, yellow and purple, each with its own moves, and turns blue to drain your life when he is hurt badly. His staff shows the stance, so the next move can be read before it starts.
Prince of Darkness
A duelist in a darkness that never lifts. Every attack is telegraphed, and every miss is punished; he grows faster and more relentless as his health falls.
Bloxy
A runic demi-god fought on the deck of his Mothership, high above the realm. Every strike is written on the ground in runes before it lands, and the ship comes apart under his blows.
Igris
He waits as a dormant statue in his deepslate castle until someone strikes him. Then he wakes, calls his shadows, and drags anyone who runs back to him; every hit he lands heals him.
Arsenal and blocks
Every weapon here is a boss's reward: none can be crafted.
| Weapon | From | What it does |
|---|---|---|
| Bloxy's Scythe | Bloxy | A great scythe. Press R to throw it, and R again to call it back |
| Arm of Shadows | Prince of Darkness | Hits harder the farther you fell before striking. R releases a shadow shockwave that hurts, slows and disorients everything within 4 blocks |
| Shield of Inferno | Inferno Hydra | Sets attackers on fire while you block |
| Life Trident | Igris | Heals you half a heart for every throw that lands. R switches Throw and Riptide, and Riptide works on dry land for the price of a heart |
R is Use Item Ability (Bloxy's Structures); rebind it under Controls.
Purple Poison. The Mushroom King's book carries the Purple Poison enchantment, for shields: block an attack and the attacker is poisoned for 5 seconds. The Purple Poison effect itself drains about a third of its victim's health over time, and armor cannot stop it.
Blocks: the four wood families and the mushroom blocks of [the realm], and the boss altars.
