#BodyFollowHead
A small client-side mod that removes the built-in delay in body rotation relative to the view direction.
Why is this necessary?
In vanilla Minecraft, the character's body begins to follow the camera only after the angle between the view direction and the torso exceeds approximately 75°. Because of this, decorative accessories attached to the back or shoulders (wings, cloaks, backpacks, etc.) may move into the player's field of view or appear oddly "lagging" relative to where the camera is facing during sudden camera movements.
This mod removes this delay: the body always faces exactly where the head is facing.
Features
- Works only on the client side – it doesn't send anything to the server, and can be installed without permission from the server administration.
- Doesn't provide a gameplay advantage: the actual direction of attacks, shooting, and movement is still tied to the camera angle, as in vanilla – the mod only changes the rendering of the model.
- Doesn't affect performance in any way (it replaces one rotation formula with another, equally cheap).
