BringBackTheOne
BringBackTheOne is a simple client-side mod that restores the classic "1." prefix to Minecraft version numbers.
The Problem
With recent snapshots (starting from 26.1), the version numbering scheme dropped the leading "1.", resulting in versions like 26.1. For many veterans, this just feels... wrong.
The Solution
This mod seamlessly injects "1." back where it belongs across the entire game interface.
Features
- Main Menu: Restores the version in the bottom-left corner (e.g.,
Minecraft 1.26.1). - F3 Debug Screen: Corrections the version line in the debug overlay.
- World Selection: Fixes the version displayed in world descriptions.
- Window Title: Updates the game window title to match the classic format.
Compatibility
- Fabric & NeoForge supported.
- Client-side only (not needed on servers).
License
MIT License - strict, open, and free to use in any modpack.
Known Issues
- The version number on the screen displayed when opening a world from an older version is not updated.
