Biomes

Canopy adds three rainforest biome variants, each made up of three vertical layers, the canopy, understory, and forest floor

Rainforest

A dense, foggy biome found near jungles with towering trees and rich vegetation

Features:

• Banana trees
• Sweet berry bushes
• Red and brown mushrooms
• Fern jungle grass & large ferns
• Jungle trees
• Kapok trees & Mega Kapok trees
• Brazil Nut trees & Mega Brazil Nut trees
• Lily pads
• Anthills
• Creatures: Toucans, Monkeys, Frogs, Piranhas, Gorillas

Bamboo Rainforest

A rainforest variant heavily overgrown with bamboo

Features:

• Mega bamboo (new extra tall bamboo!) and regular bamboo forest
• Banana trees
• Sweet berry bushes
• Red and brown mushrooms
• Fern jungle grass & large ferns
• Jungle trees
• Kapok trees & Mega Kapok trees
• Brazil Nut trees & Mega Brazil Nut trees
• Lily pads
• Anthills
• Creatures: Pandas, Toucans, Monkeys, Frogs, Piranhas, Gorillas

Muddy Rainforest

A swamp-like rainforest with muddy terrain and mangrove-style vegetation

Features:

• Muddy ground
• Dead bushes
• Banana trees
• Sweet berry bushes
• Red and brown mushrooms
• Fern jungle grass & large ferns
• Jungle trees
• Kapok trees & Mega Kapok trees
• Brazil Nut trees & Mega Brazil Nut trees
• Lily pads
• Creatures: Toucans, Monkeys, Frogs, Piranhas, Gorillas

Terrain Features

• Mega Kapok Trees → 60–70 block tall giants that form the canopy
• Kapok Trees → understory tree layer
• Mega Brazil Nut Trees → 30-50 block tall trees that form the canopy, they grow Brazil Nut Pods whick can be knocked down with a thrown Trident
• Brazil Nut Trees → understory tree layer
• Banana Trees → 3-9 blocks tall, can grow up to 4 Banana Bushels
• Anthills → Made out of Fine Dirt (new dirt with no rocks) and are covered in Ants

Structures

Rainforest Temple

Ancient structures that generate in rainforest biomes. Each temple contains an entrance to a large underground dungeon where the Pummel mob can be found

Mobs

• Toucans → 4 variants, eat fruit!
• Poison Dart Frogs → the rainforest frog skin; they poison anything they touch and have the Azure Froglight as their froglight
• Monkeys → breedable with bananas and brazil nuts!
• Piranhas → hunt fish and retaliate when attacked
• Pummel → a blaze type mob that shoots bouncing rocks, drops: 2–5 Rocks, 0–1 Amethyst Shards
• Gorillas → neutral mobs which retaliate on attack and can be bred with bananas or bamboo (WIP)

• Rafflesia Flower (WIP)
• Kapok Wood Set
• Brazil Nut Wood Set
• Brazil Nut Pods → grow from leaves and can be knocked down with a Trident (craft into 9 Brazil Nuts)
• Kapok Leaves
• Liana Vines
• Banana Stalk
• Stripped Banana Stalk
• Banana Leaves
• Banana Bushel → crafts into 9 Bananas
• Banana Flower
• Azure Froglight → the froglight for Poison Dart Frogs
• Fine Dirt → used in Anthills
• Ants → can be transported in buckets, walking over them without boots causes damage, and act as a animated glow lichen placeable decoration block!

Items

• Brazil Nuts → break into 2 Shells + 1 Shelled Nut when used
• Brazil Nut Shells
• Shelled Brazil Nuts → food item (2 nutrition, 0.25 saturation)
• Bananas → food item (4 nutrition, 2 saturation)
• Rocks → throwable projectiles that bounce once and deal 3 damage (Pummel is immune)
• Rafflesia Petals (WIP)
• Bucket of Ants → used for transporting ants, which act as an animated
• Bucket of Piranha

Advancements

• Canopy → Rainforests in Minecraft → enter any rainforest biome
• Below the Surface → find a Rainforest Temple
• The Bare Necessities → harvest a Banana Bushel
• Corpse Lily → harvest a Rafflesia Flower
• Caution: Bounces → collect a Rock
• Where the Trees Touch the Sky → explore all rainforest biomes

Planned Features

• Anteaters
• New potion/effect from Rafflesia Petals
• Gorilla behavior changes
