Carpet Ice Addition
Carpet Ice Addition is a lightweight extension for Carpet, adding practical and configurable Carpet-style rules for technical survival servers and vanilla-friendly gameplay.
Under the default configuration, this mod does not change vanilla behavior. All features need to be enabled manually through Carpet rules.
What does it add?
This mod focuses on small, targeted rules that help reduce accidental player mistakes, improve technical-server reliability, and handle edge cases around machines, fake players, mobs, and vanilla mechanics.
Examples include:
- Preventing accidental scaffolding breaking.
- Stopping crafters when their output is blocked.
- Making spawners ignore invisible players.
- Allowing budding amethyst to be collected with the correct Silk Touch tool when enabled.
- Preventing players from damaging mobs they personally tamed.
- Preventing fake players from taking Thorns damage and feedback knockback.
- Sending a warning when players meet the phantom insomnia threshold.
- Adding configurable fake-player name prefixes and suffixes in the tab list.
For the full rule list and detailed behavior, see the rule documentation:
Why use it?
Carpet Ice Addition is intended for servers that want small, independent Carpet rules without installing a large gameplay overhaul. It is especially useful for technical survival servers where accidental block breaking, item overflow, fake-player interactions, and mob-related edge cases can affect machines or gameplay reliability.
Each rule is independent, so server owners can enable only the features they need.
Notes
- This is a Carpet extension and should be used with a matching version of Carpet and Fabric API as listed in the version dependencies.
