Caves Revamp: Underground Biomes brings 3 new underground biomes to Minecraft: Desert Caves, Frozen Caves and Jungle Caves!
-
Desert Caves are filled with sand, sandstone, and dangerous quicksand that can trap players. Deep inside, you can discover hidden treasure rooms containing valuable loot.
-
Frozen Caves are cold, quiet caverns decorated with icicles and layers of snow, creating a frosty and atmospheric environment.
-
Jungle Caves are lush, overgrown tunnels covered in grass, hanging roots, and glowing plants that light the way.
These biomes use custom noise generation, giving them a unique shape and structure different from vanilla caves. They add fresh exploration opportunities and underground diversity while keeping the game’s natural feel.
Mod supports ColoredLux for some blocks. (Caves Revamp 0.3.0+) (Optional)
Features:
- New Desert, Frozen and Jungle cave biomes
- New mobs
- Quicksand traps and hidden treasure rooms in Desert Caves
- Icicles and snowy terrain in Frozen Caves
- Lush generated Jungle Caves
- Performance-friendly
Special items from mod
Treasure Scanner
Scans a chunk for the presence of a treasure room. To obtain it, kill husks in caves — with some chance, you will get a broken treasure scanner. Then repair it at a crafting table using 8 gold ingots.
Mobs from mod
Mummy
An aggressive mob that can be found in desert caves. It is basically a copy of the husk, but with a different texture. It also has chance to drop a broken scanner
Jungle Slime
An aggressive mob found in jungle caves. A copy of the vanilla slime. Poisons when it attacks. Small slimes leave an area effect cloud of nausea upon death.
