Chrono Dawn adds a brand new dimension to Minecraft, filled with unique biomes, powerful bosses, and time-bending artifacts. Master the power of time itself and conquer the challenges of a frozen world.

🌍 New Dimension: Chrono Dawn

  • 11 Unique Biomes: Forest, Plains, Desert, Mountain, Ocean, Snowy, Swamp, Dark Forest, Ancient Forest, Prairies, and Faded Plains — a withered wasteland with sun-faded grass and bare snags
  • Perpetual Twilight: A dimension frozen in time with stunning orange-gold skies
  • Time Distortion Effect: Hostile mobs move in slow motion while you move at normal speed

  • Time Guardian: A mini-boss guarding the path to the Master Clock (drops Master Clock Key)
  • 4 Mid-Bosses (required for Chrono Aegis crafting):
    • Chronos Warden: Stone guardian in the Guardian Vault
    • Clockwork Colossus: Mechanical giant in the Clockwork Depths
    • Temporal Phantom: Spectral enemy in the Phantom Catacombs maze
    • Entropy Keeper: Decay-themed boss in the Entropy Crypt
  • Time Tyrant: The final boss controlling the flow of time itself

⚔️ Ultimate Artifacts

Defeat bosses to craft legendary time-manipulating gear:

  • Chronoblade: A sword that can skip enemy attacks
  • Time Tyrant's Mail: Chestplate that can rewind time to avoid fatal damage
  • Echoing Time Boots: Boots that create decoy afterimages when sprinting
  • Chrono Aegis: An activated buff artifact crafted from 4 mid-boss drops that provides major advantages against Time Tyrant (right-click to activate)
  • Unstable Pocket Watch: Swap speed effects with enemies

🛡️ ChronoDawn Custom Shields (3 tiers)

A tiered line of shields that fit the time-themed dimension — independent from the Chrono Aegis artifact:

  • Clockstone Shield (T1): 400 durability, base tier
  • Enhanced Clockstone Shield (T2): 600 durability, adds Speed I on each successful block
  • Entropy Crystal Shield (T3): 800 durability, adds Time Echo that auto-blocks the next hit within 5 seconds after a successful block
  • All tiers halve incoming Slowness / Weakness / Mining Fatigue duration while held, and raise to block faster than a vanilla shield on MC 1.21.5+
  • Crafted via an upgrade chain using Time Wood plank variants (Time Wood → Dark Time Wood → Ancient Time Wood)

📖 Chronicle Guidebook

  • Chronicle of Chrono Dawn: An in-game guidebook automatically given when entering the dimension
  • Custom UI: Browse categories, entries, and detailed information about the mod
  • Progressive Discovery: Learn about biomes, structures, bosses, items, and progression steps
  • Built-in System: Fully integrated custom guidebook with no external dependencies

👾 Custom Creatures

Chrono Dawn features unique mobs that replace vanilla spawns in the dimension:

  • Timeline Strider: Replaces Enderman - a time-distorted entity
  • Secondhand Archer: Replaces Skeleton - precise temporal marksman
  • Paradox Crawler: Replaces Spider - phase-shifting predator
  • Epoch Husk: Replaces Zombie - time-worn undead
  • Moment Creeper: Replaces Creeper - explosive time anomaly
  • Forgotten Minute: Flying hostile mob with unique AI
  • Chronal Leech: Hostile mob that drains time energy
  • Ticking Sheep: Replaces Sheep - shearable for light blue wool, wool regrows after eating grass
  • Chrono Bovine: Friendly cow-equivalent that drops cookable Chrono Bovine Meat
  • Chrono Ursid: Neutral polar-bear-equivalent sized to match vanilla polar bears
  • Temporal Caprid: Goat-equivalent mob
  • Timebound Rabbit: Small wildlife found in Plains and Faded Plains
  • Pulse Hog: Hostile boar-like mob
  • Secondwing Fowl: Chicken-based mob
  • Chrono Turtle: Friendly water creature
  • Glide Fish: Water creature with cookable food items

🌲 New Content (highlights)

  • Custom Wood Types: Time Wood, Dark Time Wood, and Ancient Time Wood — full block sets; tall variants now generate as 2×2 mega trunks
  • Small Ambient Structures: Watchmaker's Camp, Hourglass Monolith, Old Sundial, Petrified Adventurer (snowy variant), Time Cairn, Time Well, and Upside-Down Tree scattered across Chrono Dawn biomes
  • Cave Decoration: Temporal Stalactites and Stalagmites with tip + frustum variants, enhanced fall damage, and cascading column breaks
  • Aquatic Plants: Temporal Kelp, Temporal Seagrass + Tall variant, Lumen Polyp (underwater light source), and Dawn / Dusk / Twilight / Eternal Chrono Coral in the Chrono Dawn ocean and swamp

📖 How to Play

Step 1: Find Ancient Ruins

Explore the Overworld to discover Ancient Ruins. Mine Clockstone Ore and craft the Time Hourglass.

Step 2: Enter Chrono Dawn

Build a portal frame using Clockstone Blocks (minimum 4×5, maximum 23×23). Activate it with the Time Hourglass to enter the dimension.

⚠️ Warning: The portal becomes one-way after entry! You'll need to find a way back.

Step 3: Find the Forgotten Library

Explore Chrono Dawn to locate the Forgotten Library. Discover the Portal Stabilizer recipe to unlock bidirectional travel.

Step 4: Stabilize the Portal

Craft the Portal Stabilizer using Enhanced Clockstone from the Desert Clock Tower. Use it on your portal to enable free travel between dimensions.

Step 5: Defeat the Mid-Bosses

  • Defeat Chronos Warden in the Guardian Vault to obtain Guardian Stone
  • Defeat Clockwork Colossus in the Clockwork Depths to obtain Colossus Gear
  • Defeat Temporal Phantom in the Phantom Catacombs to obtain Phantom Essence
  • Defeat Entropy Keeper in the Entropy Crypt to obtain Entropy Core

Step 6: Craft Chrono Aegis

  • Use the 4 mid-boss drops to craft Chrono Aegis, an activated buff artifact (right-click to activate)
  • Chrono Aegis provides significant advantages against the Time Tyrant final boss for 10 minutes

Step 7: Conquer the Final Boss

  • Defeat the Time Guardian mini-boss to obtain the Master Clock Key
  • Use the Master Clock Key to access the Master Clock dungeon
  • Face the Time Tyrant and claim ultimate power over time

Step 8: Craft Ultimate Artifacts

Use Fragments of Stasis Core (dropped by the Time Tyrant) to create legendary artifacts with time-manipulating abilities.

🎮 Gameplay Features

Time Manipulation Mechanics

  • Time Distortion: Hostile mobs in Chrono Dawn move extremely slowly
  • Reversing Time Sandstone: Blocks that regenerate after being broken
  • Unstable Fungus: Blocks that apply random speed effects when stepped on
  • Time Clock: Cancel enemy attacks with a cooldown-based utility item

Portal System

  • One-Way Entry: Initial portal travel is one-way, creating survival tension
  • Dimension Stabilization: Use Portal Stabilizer to unlock bidirectional travel
  • Multiple Portals: Create portal networks after stabilization

Boss Mechanics

  • Dynamic AI: Each boss has unique attack patterns and abilities
  • Phase Transitions: Time Tyrant becomes more powerful below 50% health
  • Proximity Spawning: Temporal Phantom spawns when you enter the boss room
  • Loot Rewards: Defeat bosses to obtain crafting materials for ultimate artifacts
