- Dragon Gate Challenge

A recurring world event where Magikarp attempt to conquer the legendary waterfall and reach the summit. Occurs every 30 in-game days, starting at 7:00 AM and culminating at midnight, when qualified Magikarp evolve.

Natural Behaviors & Ecosystem

- Aron Iron Craving (New in v1.3.0)

Wild Aron can now actively search for and consume iron-rich materials in the environment:

  • Directional Iron Detection: Aron periodically scans along the horizontal axes, directly below itself, and diagonally downward in the direction it is facing.
  • Intelligent Route Planning: Once iron is detected, Aron calculates a route toward it while attempting to avoid unnecessary obstacles.
  • Configurable Digging: If the route is blocked, Aron can gnaw through permitted blocks defined in its configuration.
  • Iron Gnawing: Aron faces the target and gradually damages it with bite particles, sounds, and visible block-breaking effects.
  • Dropped Item Collection: After breaking the target, Aron approaches the dropped item before consuming it.
  • Growth Reward: Successfully consuming iron grants Aron a small amount of experience.

- Herd & Pack System (Tauros & Bouffalant) (New in v1.2.0)

Wild Tauros and Bouffalant now spawn and roam natural biomes (Plains, Savannas, Meadows) in dynamic herds of 6–14 Pokémon:

  • Alpha Leader: Guided by a towering Alpha Leader (1.25x Scale, higher Level).
  • V-Formation March: Herd followers maintain synchronized wedge/V-formation trailing behind the leader.
  • Alpha Succession: If the leader is defeated or caught, the strongest member promotes itself to the new Alpha.
  • Stampede & Environmental Destruction: The entire herd stampedes if provoked, breaking 4–5 obstacle blocks and scaling slopes smoothly.

- Synchronized Horn Clash (New in v1.2.0)

Periodic, rare territorial duels between herd members. Two rivals lock eyes, step back, stomp up dust clouds, and charge head-on into each other with critical spark impacts (CRIT particles and the ANVIL_LAND sound).

- Magikarp Jumping

Magikarp can actively leap out of the water. Jump height is influenced by its stats, size, and weight, creating more natural and varied behavior.

- Flying Bird AI

Flying Pokémon feature a complete aerial behavior system, allowing them to perch, take off, fly, circle in the air, hover above land or water, and land naturally. Flying species can also spawn directly in the sky.

Updated for compatibility with Cobblemon 1.8.1 and Minecraft 1.21.1.

- Fight or Flight Reborn

Fully integrated with Fight or Flight Reborn. Custom flight, herd, and species-specific AI automatically pause while Pokémon are in official combat or fleeing, then resume smoothly once combat concludes.

- Standalone JSON Configs

Easily configure herd behavior, spawn rates, leader scales, flight mechanics, Magikarp events, and Aron’s iron-seeking behavior through standalone JSON files:

Aron’s configuration includes detection ranges, movement speed, digging limits, interaction distance, particle frequency, edible iron materials, and the list of blocks it is allowed to break.

  • /tcpoke pack spawn <tauros|bouffalant> [count] - Spawn a custom herd.
  • /tcpoke pack test clash - Trigger a synchronized horn clash.
  • /tcpoke pack test kill_leader - Test Alpha Succession mechanics.
  • /tcpoke pack names - Toggle visible herd name tags.
  • /tcpoke irondiag [species] - Display iron-detection and behavior diagnostics for the nearest Aron or selected species.

API & Mod Integration

- Generic Pack Spawner API (New in v1.2.0)

Provides an extensible pipeline for modders to register custom pack behaviors and spawn rules for any Land, Air, or Aquatic species.

- Event Notice API

Provides a public API allowing other mods and addons to register custom world events, synchronize event data, and display information through the Event Device interface.

- Pokémon AI API

Provides a public API for controlling Pokémon flight behaviors, stamina, aerial spawning, and AI state filtering.
