ComposterHUD is a clean info layer for farmers. Point your crosshair at any composter and a small readout appears in the top-left of your screen.

What it shows

  • Fill level - the exact 0-8 compost height, so you know how close it is to producing bone meal.
  • Ready to harvest - a clear Ready: bone meal note the moment the composter hits level 8 and a layer of bone meal is sitting on top.

Why

Vanilla only hints at a composter's state through a subtle texture change inside the block, which is hard to read at a glance, especially across a wall of composters on a farm. ComposterHUD puts the precise fill number on screen so you can see which composters still need feeding and which are ready to empty.

Controls

  • C - toggle the readout on/off. An action-bar message confirms the state.

Compatibility

Minecraft 1.21.8, 1.21.9, 1.21.10, 1.21.11 - Fabric Loader 0.16+. One JAR covers all four. Pure client-side: install on your client only, works on any Fabric server, fully vanilla-compatible. Requires Fabric API.
