Container Indexer 1.4.0 Changelog
New Features & Improvements
- Radial Menu Integration: Added a Storage Browser shortcut, allowing players to browse indexed items even with an empty hand.
- Dedicated Settings Access: Added a separate settings button at the bottom-right of the radial menu without occupying an existing segment. The Storage Browser also has a settings shortcut and preserves search, filter, and sorting states when returning.
- Faster Radial Menu: Reduced the default hold-to-activate delay from 280ms to 180ms, expanded the configurable range to 80–800ms, and shortened the fade-in animation.
- Storage Sorting & Filtering: Added sorting by item count, container count, name, and distance. Simplified filters to "All Items" and "Favorites" while retaining container category information.
- Storage Browser Settings: Added feature toggles, browsing range settings, unverified record visibility, and mod/block ID exclusion rules.
- Inventory Record Improvements: Added verification status and record timestamps. Improved handling of outdated and invalid records to reduce incorrect navigation.
- Pinyin Search: Added compatibility with Just Enough Characters (JECh), supporting Pinyin and initial-letter searches.
- Keyboard Shortcut: The inventory key (E by default) now closes the Storage Browser when the search field is not focused.
Bug Fixes
- Fixed the lookup key (X by default) not working when hovering over ingredients or outputs in JEI recipe screens.
- Fixed queries in Creative Mode incorrectly returning players to the regular inventory screen.
- Fixed index saving and loading errors caused by oversized item stacks from mods such as Sophisticated Storage.
- Fixed double chests being recognized as two separate containers, along with related counting and navigation display issues.
- Fixed out-of-range storage records remaining directly navigable. Distant records can now be viewed but not navigated to.
- Fixed Quick Deposit stopping prematurely when encountering a container that cannot accept the items.
- Excluded Lootr loot containers from the shared server-side index by default and added cleanup of related historical records.
- Corrected resource pack format declarations for Minecraft 26.2 and 26.3 builds.
Upgrade Notes
- Existing configurations will not be forcibly overwritten. The radial menu activation delay can be adjusted manually in the settings.
- Unverified historical inventory records are hidden by default. If the Storage Browser appears empty in multiplayer, try enabling "Show Unverified Records".
- Unverified records are previously saved inventory snapshots and may no longer reflect the actual contents of their containers.
Projects on Modrinth are automatically available through a Maven repository for use with JVM build tools such as Gradle. To learn more about the Modrinth Maven API, click here.
Note: When available, you should use the creator's maven repo instead as it will have transitive dependency information that the Modrinth Maven API does not. You may also end up with duplicate dependencies if you use a mix of Modrinth and non-Modrinth Maven repositories for your dependencies, because the group identifier will be different when served through the Modrinth Maven API.
