The Official Mod for the Dawnless SMP

A collection of weapons, blocks, items, and abilities created for the Dawnless SMP.

Currently, this mod adds two major features, with more planned for future updates.

Violence Maces

The Violence Maces are powerful weapons with unique abilities that reward aggressive combat while carrying significant risks.

Abilities

Execution

Effect:
Deals 50% increased damage to targets that are at or below 50% of their maximum health.

Cooldown: None.

Oppression

Effect:
Smash attacks root enemies, preventing them from:

  • Jumping
  • Sprinting

Each use consumes 1 charge.

Charges: 3
Recharge Time: 90 seconds

Ultimate Ability — Guillotine

When one Violence Mace is held in the main hand and the other is held in the off hand, the ultimate ability becomes available.

If the user performs a fatal smash attack against a target that would normally survive using a Totem of Undying, the ability activates:

  1. All Totems of Undying carried by the target are destroyed.
  2. The smash attack damage is then dealt.

Weakness

Using a smash attack comes at a cost.

After performing a smash attack, the user becomes crippled and vulnerable:

  • Takes 50% increased damage from attacks.
  • Cannot use a shield.
  • Duration: 5 seconds

Beacon of Light

A powerful structure that grants protection to those who earn its blessing.

Light Fragment

The Light Fragment is a rare resource used to power the Beacon of Light.

It can be obtained from:

  • Loot chests (10% chance)
  • Diamond ore (replaces diamonds)

Beacon of Light

The Beacon of Light can only be activated when placed on:

  • Diamond blocks
  • Netherite blocks

Once activated, it only accepts Light Fragments as fuel.

When powered, it grants all players within a 500 block diameter the Divine Aegis effect.

Divine Aegis

While protected:

  • Players' screens are tinted purple.
  • Hostile monsters cannot spawn within the beacon's radius.
  • Hostile monsters that attempt to enter the protected area are destroyed.
