Distant Horizons SeedGen

A faster, more performant alternative to Distant Horizons native Distant Generator

This is and Addon for DH, so it requires it and doesnt replace it

Statistics

These were optained from various tests under the same conditions on the same hardware

On average, SeedGen (WITHOUT N SIZED WORLDGEN) generates a 256 Chunk area in a new world fully

• 10.7x the speed of DH in the Overworld,
• 4.4x the speed of DH in the Nether,
• 2.9x the speed of DH in the End,

If using the newest DH nightly build, 3.2.1-b (available on the DH Discord), SeedGen 0.5.0 Indev now provides "N sized worldgen". Although this is still work in progress, it allows for generating huge render distances (also over 4096) at extreme speeds and high quality. It also majorly speeds up smaller render distances, even if not as noticably.

Capabilites

• SeedGen calcualtes overworld terrain directly from the seed instead of fully generating it, realistically faking assets such as trees, and placing structures at the correct coords differently.
• Works only in singleplayer at the moment (again, default DH takes over otherwise)
• Structures are fully made from templates, this is especially visible with villages
• Once an area is explored, Distant Horizons will save the terrain as normal
• SeedGen is now officially COMPATIBLE with Lithosphere, Tectonic, Amplified Nether, Continents, JJThunder, Geophilic, OR any content mod that doesnt add new biomes, or naturally occuring blocks. In case such a mod is detected, SeedGen doesnt break, but simply notifies the user and shuts off.
