Blocks placed by Litematica's Easy Place land the way the schematic drew them
This mod checks every one of those clicks and corrects it before it's sent. Aim anywhere at the cell. The block lands the way the schematic drew it.
Litematica does the placing, same as always. Nothing here places blocks you didn't ask for, and there are no cheat options.
What it fixes
These used to come out wrong depending on where you stood and where you looked. Now they don't:
- Slabs, top or bottom half.
- Stairs: facing, half, and corner shape.
- Logs, pillars, chains and anything with an axis.
- Furnaces, dispensers, droppers, hoppers, observers, barrels and the rest of the blocks that face somewhere.
- Buttons, levers, bells and grindstones (floor, wall or ceiling).
- Doors, trapdoors and fence gates: which side the hinge is on, and top or bottom half.
- Rails, including turns and slopes. Powered, detector and activator rails too.
- Double chests. The second half used to stay single sometimes, now it always pairs up.
- Candles, sea pickles, turtle eggs and petals: you get the exact number the schematic shows, not one.
- Flowers, grass, saplings and lichen. You aim at the cell, not at the thin stem.
- Signs no longer open the editing screen every time. They come out with the text already on them.
- Chests and furnaces open again. Easy Place used to swallow that click while you were building.
If a block can't be placed right yet, usually because the block it attaches to isn't there, the spot is left empty instead of being filled wrong. You come back to it later. That's a switch, in case you'd rather have the block anyway.
What it adds
Some things you simply can't set by placing a block. The mod finishes those with one click, using an item you're already carrying:
- Candles, candle cakes and campfires get lit. A shovel puts a campfire out.
- Waterlogged blocks get their water from a bucket, and lose it to an empty one.
- Doors, trapdoors and gates end up open if that's how they're drawn. Levers get flipped on.
- Copper gets scraped back with an axe or waxed with a honeycomb. Dirt becomes farmland with a hoe, a path with a shovel.
- No stripped logs in your chests? It places the plain log and strips it with your axe.
- Copper golems get posed.
- Chiseled bookshelves and item shelves get filled with the right books and items.
- Respawn anchors, end portal frames and cauldrons can be filled too, and repeaters and comparators clicked to the right setting. Both are off by default, because they spend items and clicks.
There's also a speed slider (10 blocks per second by default) and two options for fussy servers: one stops the mod turning your view, the other sends plain honest clicks. Turn them on if the server complains or blocks come out wrong on it.
Getting to the settings
There's an "EasyPlace+..." button in Litematica's own settings and layer screens. Mod Menu works too, or bind a key yourself. Nothing is bound out of the box.
Client side only, so the server needs nothing and other players install nothing. You need Fabric API, malilib and Litematica (thanks masa for those two). Minecraft 26.2, Java 25.
If something stops placing and you can't work out why, turn on "Easy Place debug" and it tells you in chat which check ate the click.
