Easy Sign Editing

Easy Sign Editing is a lightweight, client-side Fabric mod that makes writing and editing signs in Minecraft Java Edition much easier, while keeping the normal vanilla sign experience.

It improves the sign editor with proper mouse controls and familiar text editing features, making signs feel much more like a normal text box.

Features

• Click directly on any of the four sign lines to start typing there, and click between characters to place the text cursor exactly where you want it.

• Text can be selected by clicking and dragging, with support for familiar shortcuts including Ctrl+A to select the current line, Ctrl+C to copy, Ctrl+X to cut, and Ctrl+V to paste.

• Easy Sign Editing also replaces Java Edition's small horizontal text cursor with a familiar vertical text cursor, making it much easier to see exactly where you're typing.

• The Auto Next Line button (Auto wrapping) can automatically move a word onto the next line when it doesn't fit on the current one. When deleting text, it can also bring text back onto the previous line when there is enough room. This feature can be quickly turned on or off from the sign editor.

• Easy Sign Editing works with both regular signs and hanging signs while keeping Minecraft's normal four-line sign format, text limits, dyes, glow ink, and other vanilla sign behaviour.
